Announcement   Enjoy browsing our collection of cold-process goat milk soap, shampoo bars, bath bombs and body care! Every single item I make is handcrafted with the finest ingredients in small batches, here in Matthews, NC.

I started making soap because I tried a bar of handmade soap I bought in a gift shop and my skin never felt as good as after I used it. I started making shampoo bars, because my hair agreed with those, too. After more than three years of making soap and testing recipes, I began selling my soap to family and friends and then here! I hope you love my soaps as much as my family, my friends, my customers and I do. Every positive review and repeat customer lets me know I'm still headed in the right direction.

The shop owner is so sweet and kind. I had to message her back and forth and she really went above and beyond with service. I live in a humid climate and she shipped them closer to when I needed them so the bombs wouldn't break. She even sent extra in case one broke. I made shower favors out of them!

This is amazing! These are just the right size for a bath bomb and I felt like I was really getting a good deal.

Fresh batches of our Cabana goat milk soap, scented with coconut lime verbena.
Making new product to test to add to the shop. These are green apple bubble scoops. With luck, I'll be adding bubble scoops to the shop by summer's end.
Painting hearts on my Love Bomb bath fizzies. These citrus and berry scented bath bombs smell a lot like a certain VS perfume.

About

Soap!

I've always been an artist or crafter in some way shape or form. Drawing and painting preoccupied most of my youth and adult life, which eventually evolved into making block prints (see my other shop at cursivearts.etsy.com).

Around 2011, my husband and I took a camping trip to the mountains. While in a boutique there, I picked up a bar of handmade soap and took it home with me. It was some of the best soap I'd ever bathed with and I was curious as to how it was made. I started looking into sopamaking, reading books and internet forums and watching videos. I slowly gathered my supplies and tried my hand at cold-process soap making a few months later. My love of soap was born immediately. A little science and a little art, I find it both a creative and intellectual endeavor.

Over the last few years, I've experimented with additives, tweaked recipes, played with oils, scents and colors to bring you all the soaps you find in my shop, and I am continually experimenting with new things to make better, brighter, more beautiful and useful soap.

All of the soap I make is cold-processed in small batches. Cold-processed means I make the soap the old-fashioned way: sodium hydroxide (lye) is mixed with water and combined with melted butters and oils. The lye saponifies the fats and makes soap! While it's still in liquid form, I pour in fragrance, add colors, make the swirls and patterns and pour it in a mold. In twenty-four to forty-eight hours the soap has hardened and finished most of the saponification process. I then slice it up and put it away on a shelf where it cures for four to six weeks (this allows it to harden and the water evaporate so you get a mild, long-lasting soap) before I even list it for sale. I test all of my soaps on my own skin before sale (even recipes I've made many times) to make sure you are getting the best quality soap!

Shop policies

Welcome to my shop!

All of my soaps are handmade in small batches of two to four pounds, using the cold-process method. Each bar is then cured for a minimum of four weeks to make sure you get the mildest bar possible!

Please note, because my soap is handmade, it will have some variations from what you see on your computer screen. It may also have natural variations such as air bubbles and soda ash. It may also sweat slightly in high heat or humidity due to the natural high glycerin content. All of these things are normal and do not affect the quality of your bar. However, if you have a question, don't hesitate to ask!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept Paypal and direct checkout. Orders will be shipped upon payment, within one to two business days.

If you pay with an eCheck via Paypal I will ship as soon as the check clears.
Shipping
For one to two bars, the soap will be shipped in a bubbled mailer via USPS First Class Mail.

Three or more bars will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail in flat rate packaging. Shipping overages are typical and will be refunded before your package is shipped. For more accurate shipping upfront, please purchase the multi-bar listings in the shop.

I ship to the address provided to Etsy if you use direct checkout, and the address provided to Paypal if you pay with Paypal; please make sure your shipping information is correct, as I am not responsible for lost packages due to incorrect shipping addresses.

I try to use recycled packing material from packages I have received; this can be anything from packing peanuts to bubble wrap to packing paper, but please me assured your package will be padded securely. Please note, if you receive packing peanuts, they are either recycled from other packages or are biodegradable cornstarch peanuts. I try to use environmentally friendly packaging to ship in.

While I do not have shipping outside the US listed, if you would like me to ship to your country, please contact me for a quote.
Refunds and Exchanges
Because this is a bath product, I cannot do exchanges or refunds. All sales are final.

However, in the case of damaged or lost items, please contact me, and I will do my best to replace or refund your order, minus shipping costs, with picture proof that the item was damaged in transit.
Additional policies and FAQs
**Custom Orders**
Yes, absolutely! I would love to create a unique soap or bath bomb for you. Please allow a six week lead time as cold process soap needs to cure for at least four.

** Soap Appearance**
All of my soap is handmade so the appearance of soda ash and air bubbles in soap are common. If the soap is sweating, that is also common. Due to the high glycerin (a natural humectant) content of handmade soaps, the moisture in the air is attracted to the surface of the soap

**Allergy Warning**
Coconut and almond oil are used in nearly all of my soaps, for those with severe nut allergies.
