One minute I'm thinking of an item that could be very useful to keep my every-day-carry items together without a bag, the next minute a quick google search presented me with an entire product category that I didn't even know existed. Bandolier's!!! This item matched the description. If you plan on strapping together two items such as a book + a journal, I'd recommend to size up just to be safe. The book I'm currently reading is a bit larger than most so I'm sure it won't be as tight with my next read, but I may even just order another in a different size to have options! Elastic is a good and easy choice, but you may want to also consider Velcro because the constant on and off could get cumbersome. All these suggestions are objective of course. Overall, highly recommend!
