This multi textured wall hanging was probably my favourite piece to make so far as it was fun and really experimental!
Getting myself all in a knot!
I started macramé last year as I wanted to make a special birthday gift for my sister. She has always liked dreamcatchers so after trawling Pinterest I decided on a macramé style, ordered some cord, hoops and designed my first piece!
Since then I have been hooked! Exploring different knots and experimenting further with all kinds of designs, textures and materials to try and find my 'style'. I particularly enjoy making macramé rainbows, using my designers’ eye for colour to give them a slight modern twist to the traditional rainbow palette.
Macramé also combines my love of nature and being outdoors as I get to search for beautiful fallen branches to use in my pieces. It has become a small obsession and I now have a considerable collection!
I'm trying to recycle and re-use where possible which is why in many of my items, I choose to use Bobbiny cord which is made from 100% recycled threads from the textile industry.
In my packaging I use recycled brown paper and green padded envelopes that don't use bubble wrap and can be fully recycled! I'm also reusing any bubble wrap and cardboard boxes from my own purchases in my own packaging. If you receive any bubble wrap in an order from me please consider using it again!
