My story starts back home at my beautiful secluded mountain community called Powder King in Azu Village, British Columbia. Growing up, creativity was more of a necessity rather then a luxury. Considering our first home had no running water, no electricity, and no plumbing we had to be extremely creative in the way we lived our lives and found beauty in the simple things.

This artistic upbringing led me to pursue my passion and completing my Bachelors of Fine Arts with Honours in Studio Concentration at the University of Calgary. In my second year I was introduced to Printmaking, and it was love at first sight! Silkscreening quickly became my mode of expression, communication, and exploration.

Today I continue to push the boundaries of traditional printmaking by exploring alternative techniques and materials. I incorporate collage, photo transfers, and drawings with my silkscreens onto a variety of materials including: paper, sheet music, vinyl records, barn wood, and old doors.

Mother Earth, Aboriginal culture, and simple beauty in nature inspires me to explore new ideas through art. All themes, materials, and processes reflect a conscious effort to be environmentally mind-full by reusing and recycling found objects and exploring the land we walk.

I am forever grateful that I found my passion and have the courage to pursue it with my supportive and loving family and friends behind me always. xo
