About

I love making jewelry with sea glass I find on local beaches.

My name is Jenna Garzaniti, owner and operator of Coastal Studio Eight. I grew up on the California coast with a creative and resourceful family. Arts and crafts were a staple in my house and special occasions were always marked with handmade gifts. I also spent a great deal of my childhood at the beach, which is where I first encountered and gained my love and curiosity for sea glass. As an adult this curiosity has turned into a full blown obsession. I have sea glass flowing out of glass jars and coffee top bowls, on windowsills in the kitchen, in the bathroom, bedroom and in every pocket of every jacket I own. I wanted to do something with my collection that honored the beauty and uniqueness of my treasures.
Coming from a creative background I incorporated sea glass into every possible art form that I had the resources to make such as mosaics, sun catchers, bird houses, etc. Each of these were lovely in their own right, but did not capture the beauty and uniqueness I felt each individual piece of sea glass had to offer. So, after much trial and error I started to make wearable art. With the help of books, the internet, and classes at the local college, I became proficient in creating jewelry using my beach found sea glass. It took time and practice to design pieces that complemented the sea glass and reflected my personal style but after years of work and research, I believe my collection is finally ready for the discerning collector. And so I present to you Coastal Studio Eight. I do feel quite privileged to do the work that I do and to be able to share my love of sea glass with the public. Enjoy!
