Coast Jewellery creates individual, handmade, high quality, sterling silver necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings featuring natural gemstones.

We have spent many years in retail and work very hard to provide a high standard of customer service. We personally choose all the gemstones used in our designs to ensure quality and consistency.

Welcome to Coast Jewellery. We make all our jewellery using 925 sterling silver, 9ct gold and real gemstones which are only sourced from UK reputable stone merchants.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale
Returns and exchange details
It is extremely important to us that you are 100% satisfied with your purchase and if for any reason that is not the case, please contact us before leaving a review or returning an item and we will do our very best to address any concerns you may have.

Once you have received your order, you have 14 days to contact us to request a cancellation , then a further 14 days to return the item(s) to us. The order must be returned to us with its original packaging and unworn condition
Items that are made to order or personalised or whose prices fluctuate due to market activity beyond our control are exempt from this policy and therefore may not be eligible for return / refund. Returns received outside these dates will not be accepted.
For hygiene reasons this policy also does not apply to earrings.

Returned International orders must also clearly state 'RETURN' on the front of the outer packaging.

If you wish to exchange an item, the original order must be returned to us with its original packaging and unworn condition within 14 days of receipt. We will then dispatch your new order and charge you the difference in order value plus return shipping.

We cannot accept liability for any items that are lost in transit. We therefore advise that you use an appropriate / tracked postal service to return your order. Please also ensure that your return postal address is clearly marked on the back of the packet and our returns authorisation number on the front.

For all returns or exchanges please contact us prior to shipping. We reserve the right to charge a re-stocking or handling fee for items received, which do not adhere to these terms & conditions. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted and any additional costs imposed by the postal service due to incorrect stamps / labels being used will be deducted from the original purchase value / refund due. The cost of return shipping is the buyers responsibility.

It is the buyers responsibility to collect or re-arrange any undelivered items from their local sorting office. Items returned to us through non-delivery, will be classed as unauthorised and subject to re-stocking / handling fees of up to 50% of the original product value. Original P&P costs will not be refunded.

Our jewellery is handmade to the highest standards. Over time normal wear will occur e.g scratches, wear/friction marks in line with frequency of use. We will not replace or refund any item that has incurred normal wear and tear, accidental or wilful damage, has been resized or altered in any way, misused or repaired by any party or has been exposed to chemicals/ cleaning products. Items returned to us that meet any of this criteria can only be returned to you on payment of postal costs. Please see our care guide for further clarification.

If we agree that damage has occurred due to faulty workmanship and it is within 3 months of the original purchase date, we will repair it free of charge. We reserve the right to replace any such items with a suitable alternative if the original item cannot be repaired to our satisfaction. In all cases the items(s) will need to be returned to us and we will advise you of the repair / replacement procedure.
Payment
We accept Paypal, and all major credit cards. We cannot dispatch your item(s) until full payment has been received. If payment made through Paypal or credit card is declined, the order will be cancelled and the item will be re listed..
Shipping
Many of our items are entirely handmade and typically take 1- 2 weeks to manufacture. The estimated delivery time is shown on each listing,
UK standard delivery time from dispatch is usually within 1-2 working days.
RM Special Delivery is offered as an upgrade for UK orders and is a tracked next working day delivery service

International deliveries normally take around 10 working days but sometimes longer due to local customs / importation procedures. Please note that from January 2018, all overseas deliveries will be sent using a tracked service. Any customs and duty fees incurred due to international shipping are the responsibility of the buyer.

It is the buyers responsibility to ensure the delivery address provided is correct. We cannot accept any liability for delayed, lost or undelivered items due to incorrect or incomplete information. Please also note we will only dispatch to the buyers registered Etsy account address.

Your order will require a signature on delivery. If you are not available, then your order will be held by your local sorting office and a delivery card will give instructions on how to collect or re-arrange delivery. Please note that there is a limited time-frame for doing this and any uncollected orders may be returned. All original postal and any additional postal / importation fees charged to us as a result of this happening, will be deducted from any refund due. We reserve the right to charge a re-stocking fee up to 50% of the original product value if an order is returned through non-delivery, damaged, incomplete or is received more than 35 working days after the original dispatch date.

If you have not received your delivery within 21 working days of receiving a dispatch notification, please let us know immediately. We are unable to process or investigate any claim of non-delivery, 30 working days after dispatch.

Caring for your jewellery

Our jewellery is made to a high standard, using only quality materials. Following these few tips will help to keep it looking great and lasting a lifetime.
Skin and hair products can cause jewellery to tarnish or discolour and therefore you should always allow them to dry before putting your jewellery on.
Jewellery should always be removed before exercising, bathing or sleeping to avoid accidental damage.
Chains & necklaces can become entangled in clothing or hair. If this does occur be gentle and if possible seek some help to avoid possible permanent damage.
Keep silver jewellery in an airtight container to prevent it from tarnishing.
Store chains and necklaces flat or hanging, with the clasp closed to avoid kinking or entanglement

Packaging

We keep our packaging to a minimum to avoid unnecessary waste and keep postal costs low. All items are however dispatched in Coast Jewellery gift box.

Gift Option

Selecting the Etsy 'Marked as Gift' option removes pricing information from the order confirmation and allows you to include a gift message. It does not include a gift wrapping service.

Hallmarking

Articles below a certain weight are exempt from UK hallmarking. The exemption
weight is based on the weight of the precious metal in the article, excluding stones etc. For silver this weight is 7.78g and therefore only items above this weight sold in the UK will carry our hallmark / silver stamp.

When will I receive my order ?

Many of our items are entirely handmade and can take between 2 and 3 weeks to be dispatched. We will have provided an delivery estimate when you placed your order and this will also be shown on the confirmation email from Etsy.
