I have been in the Internet Business World since 1996-excepting a small break between 2006 and now. I live in a tiny community and the opportunity to market unique products is small. For 11 years I was a soapmaker with brick&mortar shop and several Internet websites. I sold custom labeled favors for weddings, bridal and baby showers as well as other special events. I have many former customers with whom still keep in touch.
I closed my business thinking I wanted to retire, only to find a few years later that I miss the challenge and fun. Most of the items I am listing at this point come from family and friends. None of the younger members of our family are interest in “that old stuff”, and my house is full to bursting. I decided to take my show “on the road” so to speak in the hopes of finding folks who appreciate the vintage items.
I make it a practice to give as much information as I know about a product in my History portion of the listing. If I purchase this item from a stranger I will ask them about it if possible, but if I have no information I will post that. Most items are from friends and family members, and you will notice there are lots of little tidbits on the listings. This takes me a little more time to list, but I feel it is a necessary task. I also often search the Internet for information about items such as trademarks, mfg dates, etc. Often I will post a link to data for your information. I cannot guarantee to know everything about an item, but will never knowingly post inaccurate information.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
My payment collection and submission is PayPal. I have had over 15 years with PayPal with never a problem. I expect payment within 4 calendar days of purchase. If payment has not been made in that time frame, the sale will be canceled and the item relisted.
Shipping
Most of our items are FREE SHIPPING ETSY in cont US. It is imperative that you understand “shipping” does not mean the stamp or cost of postage. It also consists of the box or mailer, packing materials ( foam, bubble wrap, tissue, peanuts), tape, mailing labels, ink, invoicing materials, the trip to the Post Office to mail the package, fragile lables, and other things I may have forgotten. For Instance, mailing a greeting card is simply not the 50 cent stamp. It is the larger shipping envelope, a cardboard stiffener to keep the card safe from bends and folds during shipping, tape closure, label, ink, a “do not bend” sticker, a copy of your order/invoice. Then the trip to the Post Office. You can see these other costs far outpace the simple cost of postage.

In my former business I was a certified UPS shipping agent, so not only did I package and ship 12-20 of my own orders daily, I also assisted in packing of “off-the-street” client parcels.

Unless otherwise requested, I ship either USPS or UPS. Small items will ship via the postal service with confirmation delivery. Large, heavy bulky items will ship Parcel Post or UPS. IF you need your item in less than 2-3 weeks CONVO and we will up grade to a quicker shipping method. At times that may incur additional shipping fees. If you wish insurance on items you must request it at the time of purchase. I always purchase Confirmation Delivery on items. I email notify you of the Confirmation number and estimated time of arrival.
Larger items ship via UPS. Same insurance requests apply and email notification apply. UPS has it’s own tracking numbers.

I have been shipping items since 1996 and know how to pack things protect them in normal shipping conditions, but not for unusual occurrences (like the UPS driver slamming a package in the door of this truck!). I recommend you purchase insurance if you are purchasing a fragile or expensive vintage item. If items are lost/stolen/damaged, there is no recourse from the shipper. And once I give the parcel to the shipper my responsibility ends
Refunds and Exchanges
All Items are sold as is.
I never knowingly misrepresent items. I take many pictures, and describe damage to the best of my ability. If you have questions, email and ask for particulars or pictures. I am more than happy to oblige. Ask before you buy!

No refunds or exchanges. You purchased it, it is now yours.
Additional policies and FAQs
