Hope you will be inspired by my Artisan beads and findings. I mostly work with stoneware clay and glass at the moment, but I am always trying new materials and experimenting, so you may find some weird and wonderful additions to my offerings along the way. I would love to hear from you - drop by for a virtual 'cup of coffee' and a chat anytime.

Please do check out this shops about page if you want to find out more about me. I would also recommend reading shop policies before placing an order.

About
Exploring sculptural form, texture and colour
My name is Annica and I live in a beautiful island called Åland (which is located in the middle of the Baltic sea) together with my the love of my life and our two kids. We have also got Boston Terrier and Chihuahua as well as a ginger cat.
I have been creative my whole life in one way or another. I enjoy exploring many mediums but clay is one of my favourites so far. I can lose myself completely in sculpting, carving, exploring different textures etc. I am always on the look out for new textures and inspirations so every day walks outside with my kids tends to turn into a treasure hunts:)
A little about the process:
Glazed ceramic beads:
Clay which has been stamped, carved or sculpted, dried and then Bisque fired in my kiln. Next step: glazing and then fired to the temperature the glaze and clay body requires.
Gilded ceramic beads:
I shape, texture, dry the clay and finally fire it in my beloved little kiln. When the pieces have been fired, I add colour. I use ‘Gilders Wax’ which is applied , rubbed off and re-applied until I am happy with the result. I then seal the beads to ensure that they are protected against UV rays etc. Although I have done everything I can to protect the beads, I would still strongly recommend that you take care and don’t wear them in the shower or spray them with chemicals.
Every piece is a little piece of art which comes to life during a lengthy but very rewarding creative process.
I have started lampworking recently and will be adding glass beads to the shop as and when I have made something I find interesting.
