About

Welcome to CoconuTacha

Hi there! My name is Natacha (pronounced just like the usual spelling of Natasha!), I’m 25 and I live in Wales, surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery. I grew up in a small village called Pengam, where everybody knows everybody and I still live here today with my parents, sister and two very plump but very cute labradors (Max A.K.A Maximus the Great and baby Molly).

I’ve always enjoyed being creative and from a young age I started to paint and draw. Not that I can remember that far back! But I have photographs of three-year-old me with a little easel, absolutely covered paint and as happy as can be. Fast forward two decades and not much has changed! I studied Graphic Communication in the University of South Wales in 2012 and it was the best three years of my life. I learned so much about design, the arts industry and also about myself. It was during my time at University that I opened up my Etsy shop. It was just a hobby at first, but it soon grew into what became a nice little part-time job to fund living expenses and equipment.

Many people ask me where my shop name ‘CoconuTacha’ came from. To be honest, it was a mixture of pressure and a spur of the moment decision! When opening my Etsy shop, one of the first questions was ‘What is your shop name?’ I remember thinking ‘Umm… I don’t have one yet.’ But, eager to press on and not to leave anything blank, I chose my favourite fruit (coconut) and my name (Tacha), put them together et voi la! CoconuTacha was born.

I was lucky enough to secure a full-time job after I graduated as a Designer in the beautiful surroundings of Penarth. I was there for almost two years until I decided that I had had enough in an office environment and worked hard to become completely freelance. I stayed up day and night, working on my shop and fulfilling orders. I would get up at 6am for work, return home at 6pm and get straight to work on my shop ’til late. It eventually paid off and here I am today! I have never been happier.

My ‘home studio’ currently consists of the bedroom in my parents house that I have lived in for over 25 years. But! My partner and I have just bought our first home together and are currently in the process of renovating it. I’m planning on creating a much larger, super snazzy and spacious studio (how’s that for alliteration!? My English teacher would be proud…) in the very near future! I cannot wait to show you. A few months ago, I celebrated reaching over 3000 sales in my shop. I am eternally grateful for all of the support and loving reviews that I have received off my customers. I cannot thank you enough and I hope that CoconuTacha can grow even further in the future.

Frequently asked questions
Do your prints come with a frame?

Unfortunately, due to shipping charges, I do not sell my prints with a frame. All prints are frameless, so you get the freedom to choose your own to suit your current home decor (and save a great deal on shipping!).

Can I have a custom size?

Sure! The current sizes that I offer are standard European (A5, A4 and A3), but I can make any size at all! Just send me a message regarding which print you'd like and at which size and I'll see what I can do.

Do you create original paintings as well as prints?

Yes, you can see my paintings for sale in the 'Originals' section of my shop. All of my prints are from original paintings, which I sometimes put up for sale. So keep an eye out for new original paintings to be added every so often!

How long does shipping take?

UK: 1-2 working days
Europe: 5-7 working days
USA: 1-2 weeks, but can sometimes take up to 4 weeks
Canada: 1-2 weeks, but can sometimes take up to 4 weeks
Australia: 1-2 weeks, but can sometimes take up to 4 weeks

I am not responsible for delays due to customs, transport or loss etc. If you do suspect that your mail was lost or stolen, please contact your local Post Office and Police Station, as mail theft is taken extremely seriously.

Do I have a tracking number?

If you purchased the 'Tracking' or 'Signed For' option when choosing your delivery method, then you will have a tracking number with your order. I highly recommend that you choose a tracked/signed for shipping method, as this will be beneficial in the rare event that your item becomes delayed.

Can I have some customised lettering on a print?

Sure! I charge a fee of £5 to add any custom lettering or words to a print. Just send me a message including the details of what print you'd like and what words and I'll get it sorted for you.
