The Coleman & Mason Story
Our little alteration and dressmaking business really began in Chicago. We soon relocated to the little community of Hyde Park where Mom Sister and myself continued our home-based business. Mom was our first employer and we enjoyed the creative opportunities that our lovely clients provided.
Each year we traveled abroad. Later, I had the chance to live in Paris, France learning to speak the language at Alliance Francais while providing alterations and custom dressmaking and design services for my neighbors. Such fun!
Returned home to Chicago. However, in order to further fine tune the art of couture fashion design and construction, I attended The School of Fashion Design here in Boston. Advanced studies included menswear design and tailoring as well as my Designers' Line Presentation: "Couples International".
The dual line showcased complimentary couture designs for men and women in sets representing the cities: Versailles' Hall of Mirrors, Peking China, Paris France, London Theatre and Boston's Harvard Yard. Oh, what a challenge it was.
I became the first female menswear fitter and tailor at Filenes. Spent some time in Boston's finest workrooms including Neiman- Marcus, Armani and Barneys'.
In 2004, The Traveling Tailor was featured on WCVB / The Chronicles Show, Channel 5 / Boston. It was such fun to watch the film crew create something wonderful.

Fabric collections from Manhattans' Garment District in selected hand painted silk charmeuse, crepe de chines and jacquard weaves. Each necklace is adorned with gorgeous Swavorski Crystallized Elements Crystal Cream Pearls, and Xilion Jet Black Beads. Intricate velvet scarves trimmed in ornate bugle beads complete the Signature Jewelry Necklace Collection.
Such a delight to create sell and enjoy customers; new found friends and designer associates. It's opened up a brand new world of possibilities.
Please be assured that each Signature Jewelry Scarf Necklace is hand cut and sewn. Each Swavorski Crystal Bead is applied one-by-one. Each scarf is Made in America here in The Traveling Tailor Studio.

All of my apparel designs are hand cut right here in the Traveling Tailor Studio, Brookline, Massachusetts.
I am so excited to have found wonderful silk prints and jacquards for the Signature Scarf and exotic glass and pearl beads from the Swavorski Crystallized Elements beads and pearls for the accent trim.

An added fee is required on all Fedex Express Services. Your parcel is insured in both cases.Confirmation and invoice tracking number(s) will be provided via email.
Generally, available inventories may be shipped in one business day . Regular orders are shipped on the 3rd business day. Custom orders are shipped on the 7th business day depending, however, on the design selection.
