About

Creating art out of junk mail

After quitting a very demanding and stressful job, my desire was to spend more time in creative pursuits. I have always been a 'crafty' person, but I wanted to take my artistic endeavors one step up.

I opened my 'inkspired' shop on Etsy, and was pleased with its' success in offering recycled bottle cap magnet folk art, hand stamped and painted domino magnets, painted rock art and bead woven jewelry to my customers.

But my one true love is paper.
Creating beauty out of things that would normally go into a land fill is very fulfilling for me. I feel a deep responsibility to our earth. So much of what is normally considered 'useless' can have a very happy renewed second or third life.

I was spending more and more time creating my Collage Art Dolls from all recycled junk mail. I felt they deserved their own spotlight, along with my Collage Paper Paintings, so I opened my "Collage Paper Painting" Etsy store.

I have dedicated this shop to All Things Paper! with a strong emphasis on recycling. I have recently branched out into blank note cards, and have had very positive responses with my test customers. Adding in recycled paper doll art and a dash of zentangle art cards, I love the audience that Etsy gives to my saved-from-the-trash-bin art. Each and every sale spreads a piece of my heart to my customers. What serendipity!

I was given the name 'inkspired' back in the 1980's as an avid rubber stamp enthusiast. I have always loved anything paper, and have taught myself through the years how to watercolor, rubber stamp, origami, kirigami, cut paper art, and much more.
