5 out of 5 starsIngenious, I absolutely love this "transforming" scarf!! Will probably wear it more over the summer, though, as having it on under a coat makes it wrinkle really badly :)

Production stage for the collection of children's clothing S/S 2014
Let the material carry the creativity
I'm first and foremost a graphic designer. After several years in office, I found myself unemployed. I wanted to keep both my head and my fingers busy so I returned to my true passion: working with my hands. That's when I pulled out my pencils, brushes, sewing machine and I started to have fun with all kinds of objects and materials. I wanted to create unique pieces (mainly jewelry and fashion accessories) that I couldn’t find on the market. From this was born the “Les nœuds” Collection. At first, I was doing it for myself, for friends. Radidly, the friends of my friends wanted them, and their friends too! So I planned out a small production and it sold very well. After that I opened up an Etsy store to see where it would take me. Sales were going good until one day a reporter from “Lucky Magazine” wrote a small piece on “Les noeuds”. The next days were just crazy! At this point, I decided to invest myself into Tamé for real. Since then, I’ve been working full time in Tamé, putting all my efforts, ideas and creativity in what started as a hobby and is now my career.
When I create, I'm inspired by the material. I want to work with it, manipulate it, transform it and let it inspire myself. I love when I feel like I’m using the material to its full potential. The material, the matter; it takes me somewhere. Usually it’s somewhere else from what I would have imagined, and this is why I love to work that way.
Now that I'm a mother, I find myself in the world of kids and I'm a bit dissatisfied with what the market has to offer. That's how I started my own collection of kids clothing and more recently beddings. Some parents want an alternative to pink butterflies, smiling flowers and fire trucks and that’s what I try to offer! :)
