Welcome to FUN!

My shop began out of the desire to expand an already established Facebook business. That's it. There are a lot of shops that create the same items that I do, but I strive to make you happy you came to Colorful Characters.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
Returns and exchange details
For Masks, Finger puppets, or Mouse Ears: If you are truly unhappy with your item(s) and if it is defective due to my work, I will refund. Once the item(s) is received by me I will refund you your money or make it right. This is if you want a refund. I can only refund for the cost of the item and not the shipping. USPS does not offer refunds for delivered items.

If you have any issues with your ears and do not want a cash return is but would like a replacement, a pair of ears of the same theme can be sent to you. No substitutions. Your new item will be sent as soon as the exchange item has been delivered to me. That way I am able to see what went wrong and make sure like situations do not occur in the future.

IMPORTANT: I can not be responsible for Loss or Damage done while in the hands of USPS. I hate to have to put this, but its fact. I can not control how the product is handled once it leaves my home. I will always pack your items the way I would expect my purchases to be packed. That's a promise.
Payment
Payments for items must be paid in full at time of order. The reason for this is a lot of times, custom orders especially, it is necessary for me to buy parts of your order. (letters, patterns, etc)

I accept most payment types. No e checks.

When you place your order you are placed in a que. I never have only one order to work on so I ask that you understand that there is a line. I work hard every day to get your orders created and out the door in a timely manner. My production times are set based on current orders to complete, my quality standards, and time allowing me to be a mom. I take Sundays off.
Shipping
I ship First class. At times I will ship priority due to size and quantity. If I have to do so, it will be at no extra cost to you. Plus, you get the bonus of having your items faster.

I offer a rush fee for orders that are needed sooner than my production times. My production times are listed on my items.


Please be aware that even though Etsy says “want it faster?” At checkout and leads you to upgrade to priority USPS postage, that does not shorten my production time. That just means that once it’s shipped USPS will deliver it faster. I can not edit what Etsy adds to the site. I just wanted to let everyone know. It’s very misleading.


For International Orders: I can not be held responsible for and VAT fees or taxes added to your order. I have no way of knowing what your added fee will be at the time you receive your package. If you are concerned about added fees, I suggest not ordering. I would hate for you to pay more money for your items.

Please understand I am not a machine. I am one woman who does everything. I will always give you 100% of my creativity but imperfection may happen. I cut my felt items as precisely as I can. I also answer all my messages as fast as I can. I hate making you wait but do ask that you give me at least 24 hours to respond. There are times that I am too busy on the machines to stop and answer inquires. I just want to be transparent with you all.
