This hobo bag is made of cork, a natural environmentally friendly fabric. Cork is an elegant fabric with an inherent beauty all its own. It is a fabric I am always proud to wear.
This bag is made of batik fabric. Batik is a hand dyed fabric that is the same on both sides. It has the look of a tie dye, but is more subtle. It is made in Indonesia.

About ColorMeChicBoutique

Sales 171
On Etsy since 2017

I love to sew handbags and have three sewing machines in my sewing room.

I began sewing when my daughter-in-law gave me her sewing machine. I started with small items and loved doing it. Then I took sewing classes at my local art center and at sewing shops and joined sewing clubs. I have always loved handbags, but never found ones in stores that I liked or could afford if I did. So I decided that I would make myself some handbags, but I couldn't stop, so I made more and more. When I had a handbag tree full I thought it might be time to sell what I love to make. I also have an Etsy vintage shop Second Impulse.

I was a curator of American Art at my local Art Museum for more than 20 years. I loved art of all kinds and when I left the museum, I decided I wanted to make something artsy. I started with jewelry and now I make handbags and accessories.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Occasionally I have a custom order bag in my shop for which buyers can choose the fabric and make several modifications to the bag. I welcome custom orders, but sometimes I may not be able to accommodate a buyer's request. Please feel free to ask. I am happy to respond.

Care instructions

Although cotton is washable, I do not recommend machine washing any of my handbags. I recommend spot cleaning only. Please follow this advice to keep your bags looking beautiful.

Sizing details

I measure as accurately as I can. Handbags are difficult to obtain an exact measurement, but I always try to obtain the correct measurement.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Items marked delivered are not subject to refunds, but I will work with you to help you find your package.
