About
Through encouragement from friends and family Colors of Serendipity Studio was born.
I have a memory as a young child, visiting a stain glass artists home. She had a lovely wood cabin surrounded by trees and she had beautiful stain glass windows throughout. I was mesmorized by the way the sun would shine through the colored glass. Enchanted. The memory fills me with warmth and I think this is truly where my love of glass and color began.
I have been creating art work and jewelry for many years both for my own personal enjoyment as well as to give as gifts for friends and family.
It was these same friends and family who encouraged me to open my own shop ... and so Colors of Serendipity Studio was born.
I love being lost in a project. The whole outside world disappears and it's just me and my creativity.

I have been creating jewelry and art work for over 17 years and have always loved the creative process. I enjoy experimenting and I love how my vision of the final piece can change from minute to minute while engrosed in a project.

Returns and exchanges
If upon receiving the item you ordered you decide you are not 100% satisfied, you may return the item in its original condition to me within 5 days of receipt and I will refund your purchased price (not including shipping).
All of my lampwork beads are properly annealed in a digitally controlled kiln which helps to create a strong stable bead. That being said, they are glass, and as such are breakable and should be treated with care. However, should one of the lampwork beads you purchase from me happen to break I will be more then happy to replace it.
If ever there is an issue with something you purchase from me then please contact me right away so we may fix the problem.
Your satisfaction and loyalty are extremely important to me!

Tips on Silver Care - You will notice in my jewelry pieces I use alot of sterling silver and silver plating. I do this because silver is a beautiful yet affordable metal. Thus creating a beautiful yet affordable piece of jewelry. Silver can and usually does tend to tarnish over time and use. Sometimes the effect can be desirable and sometimes you would prefer a much newer appearence. There are several ways to care for silver like making sure to apply hair sprays or lotions prior to putting on silver, avoiding excessive moisture, storing in a ziploc baggie, placing Anti-Tarnish paper in your jewelry box or wiping it down prior to placing back in the jewelry box. However, if you are sometimes too busy or forget to wipe down your jewelry then the easiest way to keep them clean is to occasionally clean with a mild phosphate-free detergent using a soft cotton cloth or cotton ball and dry immediately. This is ideally done before you notice any tarnish (yellowish brown tint) but can be successful shortly after you notice this discoloration. DO NOT allow your silver to turn black. At this point you must use stronger chemicals to clean and these can be harmful to other jewelry components on your piece. If your silver becomes that badly tarnished I would recommend taking it to a professional to have it cleaned.
A side note about lead content ...
I do my very best to ensure that all the metal components that I use in my jewelry are lead-free. There are however a few jewelry pieces and bookmarks that I did use a component that may contain lead. For these pieces I have clearly stated so in the item description. This is especially important for those of you living in California as I will be unable to ship these items to your state due to laws governing the use of lead in jewelry. I am very sorry for any inconvenience. If you would love to have the piece, then I would be more than happy to restring using a different lead-free component.
