They're absolutely gorgeous. The coloring is beautiful when the light catches them, and I wear them everywhere! They of course have faults, but they work with the colors so wonderfully I couldn't complain!

After my previous two purchases I asked Tabitha to design a necklace with these beautiful rubies. I now have three beautiful necklaces from 'compulsive jewelry' and I couldn't be happier with my purchases or the service I received from Tabitha.

Welcome to CompulsiveJewelry! I have been creating and selling unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry since 1999. What started as a hobby making jewelry to wear myself led to making more for gifts for others until I began selling my creations right off my neck in the middle of the street in NYC. Since my early beginnings, I started selling my work under the name Compulsive Creations at craft shows and developed a following over the years. My work progressed from beads to wirework to metalsmithing and has been carried at jewelry stores, gift shops, as well as artisan galleries. I love the fact that I am still compulsively creating!

I used to think that I loved jewelry, until I realized that it was all about the stones. Precious, semi-, minerals - I love them all! I don't know if it is the metaphysical properties or just aesthetics, either way I love rocks! All natural stones have variations from piece to piece, including blemishes, flaws, inclusions, and occlusions. I like to think that each stone has its own distinct character. This also applies to freshwater pearls, fossils, organic material like amber, shells, and itsy bitsy tiny found objects - all of which I also adore.

Each piece is always individual; every stone unique. If you are looking for an unusual gift for yourself or someone special, CompulsiveJewelry is affordable, fascinating, and an excellent choice.

CUSTOM ORDERS
.....................................................................................

Custom orders are welcome! Let's share ideas! Do you need a matching set - earrings, bracelet, & necklace? If there's a specific type of ear wire (french wire, lever backs, posts... even clip-ons) or a type of clasp (toggle, box, hook and eye...) that you'd prefer, just ask! Do you prefer a different metal (14K White or Yellow Gold or Vermeil or...)? If there is a specific stone or even just a color that you are looking for, I'm happy to discuss it! I'm also available for wedding party sets - let me know what you have in mind! Do you prefer the length to be a little shorter or longer? I really do try my best to accommodate specific requests! Please be aware that certain modifications may not be possible or I may not have or be able to get the stone that you are looking for and the costs may differ. Let's brainstorm together before we make any decisions!

CARE AND HANDLING
......................................................................................
CompulsiveJewelry is constructed with care by me. Each items is a One-Of-A-Kind. Please keep in mind that handmade jewelry can be more delicate and require just a bit of extra consideration - please handle with care. Please, don’t sleep in it, shower or exercise with it on, dip in water, or handle roughly. As gemstones and metals can be sensitive to heat, chemicals, and abrasion, it is always best to put your jewelry on last after lotions, perfumes and hair products have been applied and dried. Be sure to store in a safe place, preferably flat. Do NOT store your CompulsiveJewelry in an airtight bag. The proper way to clean your jewelry is to gently buff the metal surfaces with a polishing cloth (ie - a Sunshine Cloth). Do NOT submerge in liquid; do NOT use an ultrasonic cleaner; do NOT use silver paste. You are purchasing unique, handmade designs and they require a little extra care and attention. If you have any questions about caring for your jewelry, please contact me at any time. I would be delighted to help.

REPAIRS
.....................................................................................
I will repair anything that is defective or has some other weakness, but not due to abuse or mishandling. Buyer will pay postage and insurance to send back to me and I will repair and return.

If there is damage due to abuse, I will repair at a reasonable cost and you will pay for shipping both ways.
.....................................................................................
MATERIALS
.....................................................................................
I use the highest quality materials and components. I prefer Soft Touch but will use Soft Flex or Beadalon stringing wire depending on the necessary gauge for each piece.

I use only sterling or fine silver (no plated or base metal) for my handmade items at this time. Should this change in the future, the alloy will be listed specifically in the description. I use only sterling silver (.925) or gold-filled (GF) crimps.

However, argentium silver may sometimes be used now and again instead of sterling . Although argentium is typically more expensive, this does not increase your cost. It is a modern alloy that replaces some of the copper traditionally found in sterling silver with germanium which makes it slower to tarnish than sterling. For this reason, I may use it at times. Be assured that both argentium and sterling contain the same amount of silver.

All natural stones have variations from piece to piece, including blemishes, flaws, inclusions, and occlusions. I like to think that each stone has its own distinct character. This also applies to freshwater pearls, fossils, organic material like amber, shells, as well as found objects - all of which I also use and adore.
