About

Every dress has a past.

A few years ago, I moved to New Hampshire with my husband and two children. I was a bit reluctant to say the least. After some time, I started to realize that my true passion was vintage clothing. I already had a collection from my younger years of scouring corner flea markets in Manhattan and thrift shops (and of course, none of them fit me anymore).

When I pick pieces for my shop, I try to find the pieces that have a history, a story or even just a name to go along with them. I feel like that makes each piece a bit more special than say, a dress picked from a local thrift shop. Sometimes when I'm sitting my studio alone, I pick through my racks and try to think of where the previous owner would have worn that piece. Perhaps she had her first kiss in that dress, or met someone famous in that coat. We may never know, but it sure is nice to dream about it.

Once upon a time, I was a city girl doing the daily grind. I felt like my purpose in life wasn't being fulfilled. When I started this business, that void was instantly filled. I have a deep fondness for history and I love every ounce of what I do.

Additional policies and FAQs
Most garments have been hand washed, steam cleaned or dry cleaned. If they have been professionally dry cleaned, it will be stated in the listing. Be careful with vintage clothing! Please look online for guides that will tell you how to clean specific vintage fabrics.

Sizing info:

Knowing your size is the key to purchasing vintage online. The best thing to do is to measure an item that fits you well that has NO stretch.

The best thing to do is to use a dress that fits you well that has NO stretch to measure against. It is best if it has a fitted waist and hips. If you don't have one, go to your local thrift store, and try dresses on that have a nice fit. You don't have to like it - it's not for wearing.

Bust: Lay the dress flat, and measure from the corner of one arm pit to the corner of the other. Double this measurement.

Shoulder: Shoulder seam to shoulder seam (where the sleeve is attached to the body)

Sleeve: Cuff to shoulder seam

Length: Shoulder to Bottom Hem

Waist: Smallest part of the bodice - double this measurement.

Hips: Approximately 8" below the waist - at the widest part of the pants/skirt/dress - double this measurement.

All measurements I take are precise. I do not accept returns for items that do not fit. Please make sure you know your measurements before purchasing! :)

Color may appear slightly different in person than on the screen, depending on your monitor's settings.
