The Coocoovaya Story

I am Eleni and I live in Athens, Greece with my husband, our two children and our dog. I have always been drawn to painting, ever since I was a little girl watching my grandmother create with her oil paints, brushes, palette knives and rugs. I was mesmerized by her landscapes and imaginary worlds and could sit next to her for hours just watching her mix colors in the pallette.

My own artistic journey however, begun after the birth of my children, when I started looking for paintings to decorate their bedroom. And I realised that especially in Greece, my options were limited to comic and cartoon characters. So I decided to make my own. And I loved it!

Since then I have been painting whenever I can, wherever I can. I prefer working on the floor of my art studio (which is basically my living room!) and I usually paint in the darkest hours. But my art is far from dark. Animal portraits filled with color, quirky, vivid, whimsical paintings which I hope will make you happy and brighten up your home.

My painting are made with acrylic paints, building layers on top of layers, creating depth and texture. In my shop you will find my original paintings and art prints which would look lovely in nurseries and kids rooms as well as in a grown up's living room. My motto? No more dull walls!

I create my art with love and I want you to be 100% happy with your purchase. If you are for any reason unsatisfied please contact me within 3 days of receipt of your shipment and we will find a solution. Shipping fees are not refundable.
Payment
I accept payments through Credit Card and PayPal. Please note that you can pay with PayPal even if you are not a registered PayPal user. Just select the PayPal option during checkout. After you have submitted your order, you will see an option on the bottom of the PayPal page to pay with credit or debit card without having to register.

Please make sure that your Paypal address match your Etsy profile and is correct. The item will be shipped to the address listed on your Etsy profile unless you instruct me otherwise in a convo or in your 'Notes to seller'. So, please make sure your Etsy profile address is correct and it is where you want the item to be sent to.
Orders are processed once payments have cleared. Payment must be submitted within three days of the sale (unless otherwise arranged) or I reserve the right to cancel the sale.
Shipping
All my listed items are ready to ship within 1-3 business days! Framed prints might take a little longer and if this is the case you will be notified of the progress of your order.

I use the Hellenic Postal service for all my shipments. All items are sent via registered mail with a tracking number for you to trace the parcel.

On average, parcels within Greece take approximately 2 business days to arrive, 4-6 business days within Europe and 10-15 business days for the US and other international countries. It might take a while longer during holiday periods. I try to ship the order within 1-3 business days however, I am not responsible for any further delays due to strikes in the postal service or any other factor beyond my control.
If you need your order ASAP - please contact me prior to purchase and I will be glad to send you a quote for shipment via courier service.

In cases where package is kept at the customer's local post office, it is the customer's responsibility to collect the item. No refunds shall be issued for non-collected items.
Customers are responsible for all customs and duties. Please check with Customs in your country as duty charges may apply based on the total of your order, or the commodity type. Any duty charge (if applicable) is to be paid by you and is not included in the purchase price or shipping cost.

The item will be shipped to the address listed on your Etsy profile unless you instruct me otherwise in a convo or in your 'Notes to seller'. So, please make sure your Etsy profile address is correct and it is where you want the item to be sent to.

I can ship gifts to other addresses, please just let me know during checkout.

All original paintings are carefully packaged in flat boxes protected by bubble wrap, foam, and packing paper.
All prints are packaged with care and are shipped in a cellophane sleeve with cardboard backing in a flat mailer.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please note that colors are displayed differently on pc monitors, so the colors you see on the screen could slightly differ from the colors of the actual artwork you receive. But I promise the original artwork colors are beautiful! Please do not hesitate to convo me if you have any queries and I'll be glad to send you any additional information/photos.
