Welcome to Fantasy Lane Copper Fairies Magical Garden Art, Wedding Favors, Wind Chimes, Potion Bottles, Sun Catchers, holiday ornaments and much more!
In my store you will find handmade wedding, anniversary, baby shower, holiday & birthday gifts.
My work tends to revolve around the theme of nature, plants and the spirit of fairies. Many of the fairies I create are designed to teach their owners about the healing, restorative, and medicinal powers of the herbs after which the fairies wings are shaped. Each fairy is sold with a story book describing the fairy lore as well as the plant after which the wing is shaped. When the sculptures are placed between a lit candle and the wall, they produce wonderful shadows, hence the name “Shadow casters.” Many of the fairies and dragonflies have tiny Eucalyptus pod wind chimes hanging from them. The sound is created by shards of obsidian which are strung on beaded lines of filament. The sound is indeed similar to the music of fairy bells carried in the wind.
♥♥ Each piece is made to order so please allow 7-10 business day's for shipping ( I can often ship them quickly). Because of the handcrafted nature of our products there will be some slight differences between the photo and the finished pieces, the bottles are hand-blown and the chimes are made of naturally forming seed pods and shards of obsidian.♥♥
Please message me if you would like me to ship to you outside the US, or to Alaska or Hawaii. I will calculate shipping and make you a special listing.
♥♥ You are welcome to place a special order, just message me and we will work out the details and I will make a special listing for you ♥♥
Please visit us on facebook for ETSY coupon and other special offers as well as a first peek of all new fairies as I make them.

5 out of 5 starsThese chimes were ordered in honor of our dog, Sallee, who had recently passed away. Sarah took the effort to request pictures of Sallee in order to make the piece as accurate as possible, and when we opened the package (from its very secure packaging, I might add), my husband and I both teared up. Sarah's etching made the dog look unbelievably like Sal, and she even took the time to etch our dog's name, date of birth, and date of her passing on the back. The quality of her work went beyond what we expected, and we will definitely order more from Sarah in the future.

About copperfairies
Fantasy Lane's Copper Fairies
Since 1994, I have been working under the name Fantasy Lane Copper Fairies, designing, creating, and finishing copper sculptures. These sculptures serve as whimsical accents to the home or garden. My work tends to revolve around the theme of nature including plants and the spirit of fairies. Many of the fairies I create are designed to teach their owners about the healing, restorative, and medicinal powers of the herbs after which the fairies wings are shaped. Each fairy is sold with a story book describing the fairy lore as well as the plant after which the wing is shaped.
Most of the sculptures are designed to hold a small birthday candle which serves as a reminder to make blessings and wishes.
At age 13, while attempting to meet my father’s challenge to “make” a headdress of better quality than the one I had asked him to “buy” for me at the Northern California Renaissance Fair, I was introduced to the world of crafting and began to develop my own work in metals, glass, paper, leather, and book binding. After turning 18, I moved from Palo Alto, to Humboldt County where I studied for 6 years at Humboldt State University with David LaPlantz, my emphasis being on jewelry and metal-smiting. I also took summer classes at the Mendocino Art Center, focusing on metal arts, becoming proficient in a variety of metal techniques such as casting, raising, chasing, and torch enameling, fold-forming, and stone-setting.
Art has always been my passion. I feel that the most important lesson we can learn in this lifetime is to follow our passions. If we are doing what we love than we are truly living. My inspiration comes from being in the Redwoods and on the rugged, desolate beaches of Northern California with my horse Gammaray. This time has allowed me a unique opportunity to discover the cycles of plants and their importance in our lives. The plants are our allies. They are able and willing to nourish our bodies and spirits. I find refuge from the stress and over-stimulation of our culture by allowing the wisdom of both plants and animals to guide me.
I now reside in northern California, Humboldt County, on the coast with my husband, son and my horse. I enjoy dancing, cooking, taking care of my horse and garden, and exploring the forest and ocean near my house where I gather inspiration. I completely enjoy my work and I love what I do!
My intention is that people will allow the light of the Fairies to touch their souls, and in turn share these lessons with their friends, family and children.
Thank you for visiting my site, I look forward to seeing you at the shows!

I have been making handmade copper fairies, goddesses, mermaids, dragonflies, butterflies, dogs, devas, sprites, and other whimsical, magical creatures since 1994. I live with my husband, 3 year-old son, two horses, and one kitty in Humboldt County, Northern California. It is a short horseback ride to the foggy, coastal forests and rocky beaches, and it is there that I find my inspiration.
My copper sculptures serve as whimsical accents to the home or garden. My work tends to revolve around the themes of nature, plants and the spirit of fairies. Many of the fairies I create are designed to teach their owners about the healing, restorative, and medicinal powers of the herbs after which the fairies' wings are shaped. Each fairy is sold with a story book describing the fairy lore as well as the plant after which the wing is shaped.
All of the staked sculptures are designed to hold a small birthday candle on their backside which serves as a reminder to make blessings and wishes. When the sculptures are placed between a lit candle and the wall, they produce wonderful shadows, hence the name “Shadow casters.”
Both the window hanging and the staked sculptures are meant to be used inside or outside. They will not weaken in structure, or crumble apart as a result of being out in the elements. Although it is important to take note that these sculptures are made from sheet copper. The nature of copper is to shift and change in color when exposed to the elements. They will take on the beautiful greens and browns of a copper patina within a few months of being outside. Indoors, they will not change in color.
Many of the fairies and dragonflies have tiny Eucalyptus pod wind chimes hanging from them. These Obsidian Windchimes are made exclusively by my friends and fellow artists, Deborah & Richard Bloom, of Portland, Oregon. We have collaborated on the pieces noted and all three of us fully participate in the creation of each one.
The sound of these windchimes is created by shards of obsidian which are strung on beaded lines of filament. The sound is indeed similar to the music of fairy bells carried in the wind.
