Welcome to Holly Knott and Diane Knott's Etsy shop, Cottage by the Pond! Sewing patterns, and one-of-a-kind items such as jewelry, home decor items, artwork, handbags, scarves and tote bags can be found here. We're a mother-daughter team, and each of our artfully designed items is an original creation, and one-of-a-kind. No two are alike. Your purchase will never be seen duplicated (sewing patterns excepted). We may use the same overall shape or pattern in our designs, but the fabric selections and embellishments will all be unique. All items are handmade in our smoke-free studios. We take great pride in our work.

You can view more of Holly's contemporary quilts, photographs, paintings and other artwork at www.hollyknott.com and visit her blog at www.fingerlakesart.blogspot.com. Her artwork is exhibited in juried shows and galleries across the U.S. Diane is a professional watercolor painter whose work is licensed on countless products including fabric with Clothworks Textiles. Visit her website at www.dianeknott.com and her blog at www.dianeknottsmusings.blogspot.com. Both Holly and Diane are co-authors of the new book "Quilted Garden Delights."

Shipping
All orders are shipped via the U.S. Postal Service, either First Class or Priority Mail, to as many locations as possible. We take every step possible to keep shipping costs down for you, and at the same time we want your product to arrive undamaged, unwrinkled, etc., so rest assured that we will not attempt to stuff anything in an envelope when it deserves a nicely padded box!

International orders are accepted - we have added our best guess on each item as to what a "general" rate might be, but of course the amount may vary depending on your location. If your shipment costs more or less we may have to adjust your invoice. Rest assured that we will send you an email letting you know if there are additional charges. And, please feel free to email us first to find out exactly what the shipping costs will be before purchasing.

Your purchase will be safely packaged and enclosed in a clear plastic bag inside the box or envelope for protection.

All e-patterns will be shipped within 3 days of receipt of order and confirmation of payment; most likely within a few hours.
Refunds and Exchanges
RETURNS POLICY:
Everything in our collection is handmade and carefully inspected. We pay very close attention to every detail, and stand behind our work. All items returned must have all tags on it and be in perfect condition in order for us to process a return. NO EXCEPTIONS. In case of shipping damage, please save cartons or take photos of damage so we are able to show damages to whichever shipper we use. We’re unable to offer refunds or exchanges on ePatterns.
