Vintage and Antique treasures, waiting to be found...again!

I had always admired my Mother’s beautiful china and glass, closed safely away in her curved glass china closet in the dining room. I grew up hearing stories of the beautiful plate hand painted by my Grandmother, the little carved wooden couple that my Great-grandmother bought on her honeymoon in Niagara Falls and the sweet bride and soldier groom that sat atop my parent’s wedding cake. She passed many of those family heirlooms on to me, and I will cherish them forever.

My fate was sealed, though, by that time. I began craving more nostalgic pieces, items that brought back the warmth and memories of family and childhood. I started combing through estate sales, flea markets, auction houses, yard sales…anything that could offer up a new find! You’ve heard the phrase “the thrill of the hunt”? Well, trust me, it is just that! It’s a thrill to find each and every treasure, whether I spot them right off or have to dig through dusty, dirty, hidden-away boxes, where they’ve been waiting for me. 

While I would never part with any family heirlooms or items with an emotional attachment, I have, needless to say, amassed an amazing amount of treasures. As I neared hoarder status (according to my daughters), opening an Etsy shop was a no-brainer, and it was a chance to share my treasures with you.
Take your time strolling through my shop, and you may just find your “thrill”!
