coup's Shop Policies

Eight years ago, when I left a career in international development, my dream was to eventually create my own fair-made apparel line that embodies the fusion of fine art and fashion. This store and my line is just the first step towards the realization of my dream. I am thrilled to have discovered Etsy as a medium for bringing my designs to the world!

Payment is due in full upon time of purchase.

I generally ship 5 days a week. Most orders are made to order after purchase and may take 7-14 days to ship, which is stated in the 'shipping' tab of products with a 10 "business" day production timeline. Please, double-check that your Etsy shipping address is correct.

All sales over $100 are insured for free, but usually a signature will be required at delivery. If you want to insure your order valued under $100 USD, please contact me before or after you make a purchase, so that I can provide you with a quote and send you an email invoice to cover the extra cost.

All duties, custom fees, and VAT are the responsibility of the buyer. However, I generally state on the customs form that one shirt is worth $10.USD when I ship abroad because I want to make my products more accessible to every citizen of the world, not just Americans.

Refunds and Exchanges

No refunds or exchanges are issued for apparel that has been worn, washed, or altered in any way. Absolutely no returns or exchanges are accepted on SALE or discounted items, such as those called 'imperfect seconds.'

SIZE EXCHANGES: If you order an apparel item and decide you need a larger or smaller size, you can ship it back to me in 'pristine' condition (as delineated above). If you are in the US or Canada, I will then cover the return shipping cost of the size exchange back to you ("tank sets" are excluded from this policy). If you live in a country other than Canada, I will need to charge you the full return shipping cost, so I often suggest just re-gifting it to a friend or family member who will adore you forever after for your generosity vs. paying so much shipping. Make sure you get a tracking number when returning or exchanging your order, as I am not responsible for orders lost in transit back to me. If you buy a style and decide you want to switch styles to a different item or a different color, then you must cover return shipping to/from me. If you contact me 14+ days after you received the item and request an exchange, you will need to pay shipping both ways. Please, do not give me excuses about being out of town or being sick so that you can attempt to exchange an item 21-60 days after you received it.

REFUND: Refunds are only acceptable when the merchandise has a manufacturing defect. No refunds because you decide you no longer like the item or because the color or size differs from what you expected. Art purchases are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, as they are all one-of-a-kind and can be damaged in transit when sent back.

STOLEN AFTER DELIVERY or UNDELIVERABLE DUE TO SHIPPING ADDRESS PROVIDED ON ETSY: Refunds or replacments will *not* be issued for merchandise that has been "delivered" to your requested address, according to the USPS tracking number, but you claim you never received it. I am not responsible for your stolen mail, and will not provide a replacement at my expense or a refund for your missing goods. You can request a signature confirmation at delivery for an additional $2.25 USD. Also, partial refunds (minus original shipping) are issued when an order is returned to me because a delivery attempt was made and a notice was left, but the buyer did not pick up the package or arrange a re-delivery for whatever reason, or an incorrect address was provided by the buyer on Etsy. If you choose to have me re-ship the product back to you, it will be AT YOUR EXPENSE -- no exceptions. Please, double-check that your Etsy shipping address is correct, since that is the address I use for shipping your order.

US ORDERS LOST IN TRANSIT BY US POSTAL SERVICE: In the event that a US order is *lost in transit* by the US Postal Service and has not arrived in 21 days after shipment, as verified by the tracking information, you will be offered a full refund. If the item is shipped, shows processing by USPS, does not arrive in 5-10 days, and the tracking shows the order is in transit but may be delayed for an unforeseen reason by USPS, please do not demand that I ship you a replacement order at my expense. I will file a USPS insurance claim for orders using priority mail and wait 14 days to receive their verdict.

If your international order has not arrived in 45 days, it is likely lost or stolen. I am not responsible for lost or stolen international orders where I can guarantee the order was shipped by providing you with a shipping receipt from my shipping program ENDICIA that shows the date and your shipping address provided on Etsy. In a recent dispute with a customer, the British Postal Service marked an order 'unclaimed - return to sender', and the order was never sent back to me from the UK. The customer demanded that I ship a duplicate order and that I cover the full expense. WHEN AN ORDER'S TRACKING STATES AN INCORRECT ADDRESS OR AN UNCLAIMED STATUS, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE. No refund will be given for lost international orders due to mail issues in your delivery country. If you prefer expensive tracking of your international order through delivery, it will likely cost over $30 USD -- please email me for details. Otherwise, all international orders ship via affordable first class USPS international mail and only a few countries currently provide tracking through delivery.
