Cozy Kitchen Appliance Covers Zipper Toaster Covers

Warren, Ohio | 3,269 Sales

Announcement    Welcome to Cozy Kitchen Covers on Etsy.com! I sew a full line of small appliance covers. I also specialize in sewing zipper toaster covers.
Cozy Kitchen Covers "has sold more items than 98% of other sellers on Etsy" according to Erank.com.

In this store you can buy ready to ship quilted blender covers, can opener covers, coffee maker covers, mixer covers, juicer covers, food processor covers,, 2 and 4 slice toaster covers, zipper toaster covers, toaster oven covers, instant pot covers, crock pot covers, and air fryer covers.

As of March 22, 2020 I deactivated my made to order listings until further notice. Ohio is now under a "Stay At Home Order" and all non-essential business is now closed. I am switching gears to sew medical facemasks and entering into the waters of homeschooling.

F.A.Q.
1. What colors are available for appliance covers ?
I primarily use solid colored prequilted fabric to create my covers. Color options are red, white, black, cream, hunter green, navy blue, khaki, brown, burgundy, and pink. **Color availability depends on my local fabric shop having them in stock. I try to keep about 2-5 yards of each on hand.
Any cotton print fabric can also be made into small appliance covers. I like to create covers based on your individual lifestyle. What is your lifestyle? Sleek and modern? Organized and Neutral colors? On the Go RV and Carefree? Shabby cottage chic? Farmhouse country? Primitives Americana? Southwestern bright colors? Let's build you a set based on your lifestyle!

2. What is on the other side of reversible covers?
My solid colored quilted reversible covers are the exact same color on either side. Reversible covers are sewn with edge trim. The trim turns the cover into a reversible cover. My reversible covers are like buying 2 covers for the price of 1.

3. Are prints available?
The answer is yes, There are prequilted print fabrics available by request.

4. Custom orders policy
Here's the information that I need to create a custom cover(s) for you:
1. Do you want a quilted cover?
a. What color? Black, red, white, cream, brown, navy blue, hunter green, khaki, burgundy, pink, purple, royal blue, pistachio green or turquoise?
2. Do you want edge trim?
a. What color? You can view available colors here https://www.joann.com/wrights-double-fold-quilt-binding-7-8inw-x-3yds/prd34298.html
I'll do my best to accommodate your request.
3. Please provide dimensions for your cover(s). I like dimensions given to me in terms of height, width across the front, and depth front to back. Please specify if you want a rectangular or circular cover. For circular covers I require the circumference measurement and height. For oval covers I need to know the height, the length across the unit from handle to handle and then the width crosswise.
I ask for dimensions to be measured by the customer and e-mailed to me. I don't trust copied and pasted dimensions from a retailer or manufacturer's website. From experience the manufacturer's and 3rd party vendor specs are not accurate enough. If you don't measure yourself and the cover is too big, I charge $10 an hour to reconstruct and alter covers.
4. Do you want a pocket(s)?
a. How many?
b. Please provide dimensions in terms of height and width.
5. Do you want fabric or plastic white loops on top?
6. Do you want monogramming or embroidery? *I don't do either, but I have partners who can provide quotes.
7. Do you have any other expectations that I need to know of?

Cost of your project would depend on how many appliances you want covered and the type of fabric; solid colored or print quilted covers, and with or without edge trim and other customized details.
Covers can be ordered in either an oval, circle or rectangular design. When ordering first specify the shape being ordered. (i.e. circle, oval or rectangle) Then supply the proper dimensions needed.
I create covers based on the dimensions you provide and add an additional 3/4" to 1 inch for seam allowance depending on whether there's trim to be added to covers or not.
Hand made items are crafted with care and take time. I do my best to fill orders in a timely fashion however there are those unforeseen delays from time to time. Like many individuals today I do my best to balance family and work. Cozy Kitchen Covers provides a secondary supplemental income.
All covers are crafted with care using quality pre-quilted fabrics in solid colors. Be assured your custom ordered cover will be given the same attention to detail my customers have come to expect.
** I do not quilt any fabrics.

I take on custom orders as long as the customer lives in the United States. When I do take on custom orders, I sew with prequilted fabrics.
Some questions to ask an Etsy artist about custom work is:
1. " Do you take on orders outside of your country?"
2. "How do you feel about returns?
3. "Do you have financial ability to alter the product or issue a refund if I'm not happy?"
4 . How soon can I expect my cover(s) to be made?
Ready to Ship covers will ship the next business day.
Made to Order covers will take 2 - 14 business days depending on how deep I am in orders. You are welcome to contact me before placing an order to find a timeframe.
Non-Quilted Custom Cover Sets will most likely take one entire month to create. My busiest times of the year is November - March. I would prefer to take on this work in July or August, during the "dead" months.
The process can involve ordering special fabric, buying 3 types of fabrics to create all the layers, buying trims and then getting to work measuring, cutting and piecing up to three layers of fabrics individually.
**The custom 3 layer sets are BEAUTIFUL when they're done. They're beautiful because of the time, care and effort I put into them. I DO NOT rush to slap them together in 24 hours.

6. Due to the fact some customers were taking advantage of my time, I now charge $10 an hour to do alterations. Please, Please measure your appliances carefully.

7. No Rush Orders
My policy is that I don't do rush orders. I don't feel they are fair to the other customers who have already taken the time to place orders.
There are Priority and Express Mail options to help expedite a cover arriving as quickly as possible once it's done. I highly suggest using the upcharge money on one of those services instead.

8. What form of payments do you accept?
Answer - I prefer Etsy to process payments because you and I have their buyer/seller protection. I also accept Pay Pal. Pay Pal also offers a dispute process, but I would rather keep everything with Etsy should something go wrong.

Etsy will guarantee buyer protection under certain conditions.
I have copied and pasted their policy set June 5, 2017 as follows:
"You can take advantage of the Etsy Purchase Guarantee to get the item you ordered or your money back if you don’t receive an item (non-delivery) or your item is not as described.

Non-Delivery

A non-delivery occurs when you place an order and submit payment but do not receive your item. The following are examples of non-delivery cases:

An item was never sent.
An item was not sent to the address provided on Etsy.
There is no proof that the item was shipped to your address.
Not as Described

An item is not as described if it is materially different from the listing description or photos. The following are examples of not as described cases:

The item received is a different color, model, version, or size than is shown in the photo or described in the listing.
The item has a different design or material.
The item was advertised as authentic but is not authentic.
The seller failed to disclose the fact that an item is damaged or is missing parts.
The quantity of items you ordered was not what you received. For example, you purchased three items but only received two.
The condition of the item is misrepresented. For example, the description at the time of purchase said the item was "new" and the item is used.
Not as described cases can also be filed for late delivery. In order to qualify as late delivery, you must provide proof that all of these conditions have been met:
The item(s) were ordered for a specific date or event.
A deadline was agreed upon by the buyer and seller.
The item(s) are rendered useless after that date.
2. How to Use Etsy Purchase Guarantee Benefits

We recommend that you first contact the seller directly to try to reach a resolution. Most sellers have their own shop policies and are eager to address issues like these.

If you've reached out to the seller and haven't heard back, or if you're unable to resolve your issue together, you can file what's known as a "case." Click here to read more about Etsy's case system.

As long as you participate in the case and follow Etsy admin instructions, we'll work to make sure that you receive either the item that you ordered or a full refund of the purchase price and original shipping costs.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for Etsy Purchase Guarantee coverage, you must have a registered account on Etsy.com. If you made a purchase using Guest Checkout, you can still take advantage of Etsy Purchase Guarantee, but you must register an account first.

Also, your purchases must be processed through Etsy Payments, and you must be within Etsy's case eligibility window. Click here to learn more about Etsy's case eligibility.

In order to initiate a claim, your account must be in good standing, meaning that you are following Etsy's policies and not suspended for any reason.

4. Ineligible Items and Transactions

While most items and transactions qualify for Etsy Purchase Guarantee, there are a few exceptions:

Items purchased in person via the Sell on Etsy app.
Subscriptions or other transactions in which you submit a single payment for recurring deliveries (like item-of-the-month clubs).
Transactions processed outside of Etsy Payments, for example, through standalone PayPal, personal check, or money order.
Items that were properly described, but you changed your mind and no longer want the item after you receive it.
Items that are lost, damaged, or delayed due to shipping carrier error or forces outside of the seller's control.
Items that are prohibited on Etsy, including intangible items or services.
Items that are returned without a return agreement (also called forced returns).
Items that have been altered, used, worn or washed after receiving.
Disputes about the cost of shipping, customs, or taxes.
Transactions where you have filed a chargeback with your credit card company or already received a refund.

9. "Can we just skip the website and I'll call in my order and you take my credit card information? "
Answer - Sorry, no, If you found me on Etsy, you'll have to purchase from me on Etsy. Etsy can process credit and debit cards. For your peace of mind, I don't have access to credit card numbers.

10. How do I redeem an Etsy gift card?
My answer is copied and pasted from Etsy's own policy.

"Etsy Gift Cards can be redeemed to buy items from participating shops. The item listing and your shopping cart will note whether the shop accepts Etsy Gift Cards as payment. You can filter Search and Browse results to find items from participating shops."

"In order to use an Etsy Gift Card to purchase items on Etsy, you must be a registered Etsy member and redeem the unique code to apply the Etsy Gift Card value to your account’s gift card balance. Learn more about redeeming an Etsy Gift Card here. You may not redeem an Etsy Gift Card that you have purchased. Once an Etsy Gift Card code has been redeemed, it cannot be returned for cash value or transferred to another account."

"In the event your order total is less than your existing gift card balance, the remainder of the balance will stay in your account’s gift card balance to be used for future purchases. You may use your gift card balance toward orders from participating shops on Etsy."

"In the event your order total is more than your existing gift card balance, the remainder of your order total must be paid with a credit card through Etsy’s Direct Checkout. "

"At checkout, you have the option to apply your gift card balance to eligible orders. Your gift card balance cannot be used to pay an Etsy bill, buy another Etsy Gift Card, or make a purchase from a shop that does not accept Direct Checkout."

11.. Is there a secure checkout?
Answer - I copied and pasted Etsy's direct checkout policy -

"All credit card information sent to Etsy is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL), and once received, it is stored in a PCI compliant environment. This data is not shared between buyers and sellers.

Etsy follows generally accepted industry standards to protect other personal information that's submitted to us, both during transmission and after Etsy receives it.

Etsy has security measures in place to reduce risk and manage any suspicious activity that may occur with payments made through Direct Checkout. All Direct Checkout payments are screened for fraud and available funds.

For buyers, Etsy covers the full purchase price and original shipping costs with a $1,000 USD coverage limit on qualifying Direct Checkout orders."

12. Do you accept returns?
Etsy is a community of small business owners. Some of these business owners, like myself, rely solely on this income. A returned product can easily mess up personal finances. Therefore, you'll notice in each appliance cover listing,, I always ask that the buyer would please take the time to measure appliances before purchasing anything from my shop. This helps to avoid the disappointment of returns and exchanges.
Having said that, I strongly believe in what I create therefore I do offer exchanged and returns for "Ready to Ship" or "Made To Order" items. I can easily resell those. However, starting in 2019, I will be charging $10 an hour to alter any ready to ship or made to order cover. I will not be refunding any postage.
To return or exchange an item, it must be mailed back to me at buyer expense.
Send it to: Jennifer Herko, 334 Bonnie Brae Avenue N.E., Warren, Ohio 44483.

Custom orders are not returnable. Neither are covers that have been personalized either by specific dimensions or monogramming.

Cozy Kitchen Zipper Appliance Covers

I started this business so I could put my family first.
I started this business to have hope during uncertain times. This business has certainly been a blessing in uncertain times in my life.
In 2007 I began sewing a full line of beautiful handmade small appliance covers.
I created these covers for two main purposes. The first reason is the practical one - to protect the appliance from dust. The second reason is to offer you a stylish storage solution for your countertop small appliances.
I also specialize in quilted zipper toaster covers. I've found the zipper toaster covers solve a problem that many of my customers have. That annoying problem would be bugs and rodents, such as mice.
Customers who had this annoying problem came to me years ago. They begged and insisted that I help them by sewing zipper toaster covers. I was reluctant at first, but in time I became better at sewing them. There is a design trick to getting it right. I've decided to copyright the design.
A lot of my customers are first time buyers to Etsy. They frequently ask me, "How does this work?" Etsy is a community of handmade artists and small business owners. We are interested in establishing long term customer relationships versus quick one time sales.
Questions? You can usually contact me here on Etsy or through my Cozy Kitchen Covers Facebook page.
Please follow my Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram accounts for all my shop updates and new product launches. I will be also be posting more of my problem solving solutions on my social media pages.
** This is a special message to ex-boyfriends who keep trying to contact me and a certain married man whose wife contacted me on a Sunday morning at 6AM to STAY AWAY from him...Don't contact me. Don't do it. I went on with my life after your rejection. This is my place of work and a business. You are not welcome to contact me here. You are also not welcome to contact me via my personal social media. I have a very kind, loving, patient boyfriend that I absolutely adore. MOVE ON.
