Return Policy
I accept returns on all Ready to Ship covers.
I can’t stress enough the importance of taking time to measure your appliances before purchasing a cover. *Don’t use sizes you got off websites. I've noticed customers who borrow sizes from websites tend to be the unhappy ones.
Anything monogrammed or personalized is not returnable/refundable.
In the event a cover is returnable my shop policy is buyers are responsible for all return shipping costs. This means I do not reimburse for postage. The reason why is once the postage is spent I can't recover that cost from USPS.
I also don't refund postage costs because once it's spent I can't recover it from USPS.
If a cover is returnable, contact me within 5 days of delivery. Ship items back to me within 14 days of delivery.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged - Custom orders, monogrammed or personalized, washed and dried covers, and stained covers are not returnable.

Alterations policy
It's best to contact me with your size concerns.
When it becomes necessary to rip a cover(s) completely apart I charge $10 an hour + return postage to do alterations after an item has shipped. *I don't alter zipper toaster and zipper appliance covers.
If the cover is too small or too short a return/refund or buying a new custom cover are some of your options.

What form of payments do I accept?
Etsy's checkout will process all major credit and debit cards. They also offer buyer and seller protection. Pay Pal is also accepted through the Etsy checkout.

Etsy will guarantee buyer protection under certain conditions.
I have copied and pasted their policy set June 5, 2017 as follows:
"You can take advantage of the Etsy Purchase Guarantee to get the item you ordered or your money back if you don’t receive an item (non-delivery) or your item is not as described.

Exchanges Policy -
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.
We can minimize the need for returns and exchanges when you measure your appliances yourself before ordering. Don't use measurements borrowed from a website. Customers who borrow measurements are usually the unhappy ones.

No Rush Orders
Rush orders aren't practical in my handmade process. They're also not fair to the customers who have already taken the time to place prepaid orders.
To help expedite an order, Priority and Express Mail options are an option if you talk to me prior to placing your order. I highly recommend using spending money on one of those services versus paying a rush order fee.

What happens if my package doesn't arrive or it goes missing?
I have a 7 step process we'll use to locate your purchase with the help of USPS.

Non-Delivery

A non-delivery occurs when you place an order and submit payment but do not receive your item. The following are examples of non-delivery cases:

An item was never sent.
An item was not sent to the address provided on Etsy.
There is no proof that the item was shipped to your address.
Not as Described

An item is not as described if it is materially different from the listing description or photos. The following are examples of not as described cases:

The item received is a different color, model, version, or size than is shown in the photo or described in the listing.
The item has a different design or material.
The item was advertised as authentic but is not authentic.
The seller failed to disclose the fact that an item is damaged or is missing parts.
The quantity of items you ordered was not what you received. For example, you purchased three items but only received two.
The condition of the item is misrepresented. For example, the description at the time of purchase said the item was "new" and the item is used.
Not as described cases can also be filed for late delivery. In order to qualify as late delivery, you must provide proof that all of these conditions have been met:
The item(s) were ordered for a specific date or event.
A deadline was agreed upon by the buyer and seller.
The item(s) are rendered useless after that date.

Cozy Kitchen Zipper Appliance Covers

My self-employment story begins with the birth of my daughter in the early 2000s. I had planned to return to traditional employment but she was a colicky baby. I felt I needed something I could do from home that used my own sewing talent.
So I started my handmade appliance covers business. The first place I sold the covers was on eBay.

Self-employment has solved many of my life event issues that occurred in recent years. For example, I became a caregiver to my grandmother in my 40s. I found traditional employers didn’t want to offer me flexibility to do both. I also had a major health issue and was treated at the Cleveland Clinic. That involved a 6-week recovery. Self-employment got me through that.

I created my line of quilted appliance covers for two main purposes. The first reason is the practical one - for small kitchen appliance storage and organization. The second was more "selfish". The business gave me work life balance.

Consumer demand led to the design and creation of the zipper toaster covers.
Zipper toaster covers solve a problem that many of my customers have. That annoying problem would be large bugs and rodents, mice and "critters" getting into their toasters. These customers came to me after they had to throw away their perfectly good toasters because a mouse got in there and left droppings. So the new toaster needed a zippered cover ASAP! I'm glad I can help solve this problem for customers.

Out of control inflation in summer of 2022 led to uncertainty in my customers lives. They weren't placing orders, so that in turn made my life uncertain. I landed a full time job in order to have more certainty in my life.
