About

The Craftboy is Chuck Harper.

By day, he's a production manager for cartoon books and Mary Engelbreit calendars for Andrews McMeel Publishing (the book and calendar publishing division of Andrews McMeel Universal) with offices in the historic Boley Building at 12th and Walnut in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
The Craftboy went to college at the University of Kansas and graduated with a degree in Journalism and an emphasis in Magazines in 1992. He grew up in Iola, Kansas, where he attended Iola High School and Allen Community College.
Now, the Craftboy lives just south of the Plaza in the Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City, with his husband, Brian, along with their Lab-mix dog, Piper, and Pembroke Welsh Corgi pup, Branson. The Craftboy Workshop takes up as much space as Brian will allow in the basement of their 1920's bungalow.
