While Crafting By The Pound is the brand name and business for my creative endeavors, the driving force behind it, is an individual creator named, Leona Woolfolk (hey!). From my small desk in my bedroom to the top of my bed when space became unavailable, and sometimes to the available floor space, I was able to start my first stationery business on April 1st, 2017.

Selling a range of printables, art prints, & stickers from my digital and traditional art, I quickly zeroed in on a passion that surpassed my most creative ideations.

Growing up, art wasn’t where I gravitated towards; I was definitely a tomboy, or the talker and troublemaker if my family were to tell it, lol. This creative vein I’m currently in must have been dormant, waiting for the right time to blossom.

Having a store first on Etsy, then Shopify, then WooCommerce, and lastly on Etsy again has been an experience. While the store is still open on Etsy, I am hoping to eventually move to close the store and move to create art full-time.

The driving force behind every creation is to produce both what’s in my imagination and what I feel is absent in the art world. I pride myself on creating products that’ll help someone stretch their creative muscle. These products are things I use in my everyday life and that speak to my artistic heart.

The short of it is, I am an avid reader, published writer, crafting fanatic, content creator, Twitch streamer, blogger, and most importantly an artist.
