Shipping

I try to keep the shipping costs as low as possible, that's why I can't give you a tracking number.

A note for international customers: Below you will find a shipping specification of the cost in the store FAQ. Depending on your order, you may be asked to pay more due to Etsy limited shipping parameters. Any surpluses are repaid ASAP.

International customers: Sometimes you will overpay the shipping costs (ordering more items) this is due to Etsy, where it isn't possible to calculate shipping cost by weight.
Therefore I will always pay back any overpaid shipping costs!

Shipping costs EU1:
From €9.80

Shipping costs EU2:
From €12.60

The rest of the world:
From €18.20

Orders are shipped by the Dutch PostNL. The largest postservice in the Netherlands.

International shipment can take up to 30 days. Sometimes it can take up to 8 weeks. It's inconvenient, but normal.
Some Countries charge additional fees on imported good, the buyer is responsible for all those fees. Please inquire with your postal or customs official to find more info.

Shipping and receipt within the Netherlands usually takes a maximum of a few working days.

Orders will be shipped in 3-5 working days.

If you have any problems with receiving your order, please contact me and I will help you.

Additional policies and FAQs

I sell fabric per meter. It can happen that you will get a bit more or a bit less. But it will never be less then 95 cm! This is due to the fact that elastic fabric for example stretches a bit so cutting it exactly to 1 meter is a bit hard.

The handdyed yarns in my shop are all unique and unrepeatable. The yarns are dyed with a non-toxic dye on a acid base.

The yarn is multiply times soaked after dying to wash out any 'bleed'. I can't give a 100% guarantee that the yarn will not bleed anymore while washing, therefore always wash your yarn separate (best with some vinegar). Wash the wool never above 30 degrees Celsius. I find the best wool washing method to wash it gentle by hand with some special wool wash.

Colors of articles in my shop can be slightly different in real life than seen on your computer screen.
All shop items are from a smoke-free house. There's a cat (but she will never be in the room with the shop items.. imagine the disasters that would happen...)

Privacy

Data collection

In order to be able to fulfill your order, I need certain information that you submit to me. You have given Etsy permission to pass it on to me. These include your name, email, postal address, payment details and the product ordered by you with the associated details. In case of direct contact (custom order), you can also choose to pass on additional information.

Why I need your data and how I use it

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use and share your data, such as:

Where necessary to provide my services, such as when I use your data to fulfill your order, to settle disputes or to provide customer service;
when you have given your explicit consent but you can withdraw it at any time.
If necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law.
And to the extent necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your data to provide the services you have requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Data exchange and disclosure

The data of my customers is important for my company. I only share your personal data for very limited reasons and very specific situations, as follows:

Etsy.
I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you with my services and to fulfill my obligations as described in both Etsy's Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
Service providers.
I engage certain trusted third parties to perform certain functions and provide services to my shop, such as postal deliverers. I will share your personal data with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to provide these services. (deliver packages to the right location).
Compliance with laws.
I may collect, use, retain and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or government requests; (b) compliance with my agreements, terms and policies; (c) preventing, investigating and addressing fraud and other illegal activities, security or technical problems; or (d) protect the rights, property and safety of my customers or others.

Data retention

I will only keep your personal data for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. In general, I keep your data for 4 years.

Transfer of personal data outside the EU

I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the United States and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government oversight laws than yours. If I am deemed to transfer your data outside the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Your rights

If you live in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal data. While some of these rights are generally valid, some rights relate to certain, limited cases. I describe those rights below:

Access.
You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you. You can contact me via the details below.
Change, restrict, delete.
You may also have the right to change your personal information, restrict my use of it, or delete it. If there are no exceptional circumstances (such as where I need to store data for legal reasons) I will usually delete your personal data on request.
Objection.
You can object to (i) my processing of some of your data based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing communications after giving your explicit consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal data unless I have compelling and legitimate reasons to continue using that information or if this is necessary for legal reasons.
Complaints.
If you live in the EU and wish to raise concerns about my use of your data (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

For the purposes of EU data protection law, I, Roelien Klandermans, am the data controller of your personal data. If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact me at craftingcactus [!at] gmail.com
See this Seller Handbook article for a sample privacy policy you can customize for your shop.
