Papermaking
I have been making paper since 1996. For the most part it was just a fun thing to do now and then. One day I joined an art group online and realized that other people actually liked my papers. I was uncertain about opening an Etsy shop but a close friend of mine encouraged me and so I jumped in! My process has evolved since then. Now my papers are much better quality and easier to work with. I am always using my papers in my crafts and it makes me so happy to see others use it as well.

Craftstudiopaper handmade papers are made with 100% post-consumer paper. My studio is filled with used scrapbook papers, construction paper, junk mail and envelopes, flyers, coloring book pages, old school homework sheets and used office paper.
How do you make handmade paper with so much color?
Craftstudiopaper handmade paper contains no dyes. The color of the finished sheet is a result of colored paper scraps.
Can I write on your handmade papers?
Yes. All Craftstudiopaper handmade papers are made to accept ink from ball-point pens as well as pencils, rubber stamp ink and paint. Markers with a "wet" ink (felt tip, etc.) will work as well, however, the ink will bleed. If you would like a testing sheet with your order, please let me know.
What kind of adhesives are best to use with your papers?
Craftstudiopaper crayon papers are basically a wax coated paper, therefore, wet glues do not work well. I suggest using a strong adhesive such as E6000 and Rubber Cement.
Craftstudiopaper handmade papers also do not work well with wet glues. I suggest using a glue stick when working with the handmade paper. DO NOT use a Xyron with the handmade papers as this method will destroy the paper.
