Author and artist, Kathy Cano-Murillo is a native Phoenician and the founder of the award-winning web site, CraftyChica.com. She has been making, selling, and teaching her "Chicano Pop Art" crafts since 1990. Her handmade pieces have been carried by Target, Bloomingdales, Hallmark, as well as hundreds of indie boutiques across the country. She has her own craft product line, has been featured in The New York Times, USA Today and on Lifetime TV, HGTV and DIY Network. A former newspaper craft columnist for the The Arizona Republic, Kathy has authored seven craft books including Crafty Chica's Guide to Artful Sewing (Potter Craft), and the novels Waking Up in the Land of Glitter and Miss Scarlet’s School of Patternless Sewing (Grand Central Publishing). She is currently writing her third novel and designing a new giftware line. She lives with her husband, two kids and five Chihuahuas.

Original, shiny, glittery, Chicano art made by us - Patrick Murillo & Kathy Cano-Murillo of Phoenix, AZ. We've been making our art since 1990! We vowed to live an artful life through art, music and writing. 20 years later, we are still doing it. We make it, sell it, share it, teach it, write about it, demo it on TV, and even sell it as a national Crafty Chica product line!

Our work has been sold everywhere from galleries and major retail chains to museum stores and art boutiques! Our pieces range from small to huge, we've done it all!

This is the site where we sell our original creations that we make in our Phoenix art studio (our living room). If you want inspirations to make your own, visit our other site - CraftyChica.com. There are hundreds of ideas and directions!

Refunds and Exchanges

Additional policies and FAQs
I SAW SOMETHING I LIKED A WHILE BACK & NOW IT'S GONE. WHAT HAPPENED? We're artists, you know. Every so often we "retire" items to make way for new ones. If you see something you like, pick it up because it may be gone at a later date.

WHERE DOES THIS STUFF COME FROM? DO YOU HAVE A FACTORY? No way, Jose. The two of us create each item by hand in our beloved Phoenix living room-turned-art studio (all while watching hours and hours of cable TV). We literally buy the supplies, make it, glaze it, pack it and ship it all by ourselves. Have mercy!

CAN I USE YOUR IMAGES FOR SOMETHING SPECIAL I'M WORKING ON? Submit your request in writing, as we will review it on a case by case basis. ALL images are copyright protected and are NOT to be lifted for use of any kind without written permission.

WILL YOU CREATE A SPECIAL IMAGE FOR ME? Talk to us! We'll negotiate a price, depending on size and detail needed.

I'VE READ ALL THIS & STILL CAN'T FIND MY ANSWER Darn! We thought we covered it all! That's OK, you can contact us at kmurillo [!at] gmail.com and we'll help you in anyway we can.
