My love for Nature, Rustic & Do it Myself led me to where I am today...
My love for antiques and vintage re-purposing all started when I was about 19. I started collecting occupied japan dishes. When i was in my 20's I earned my Realtor license and started selling real estate, flipping houses, advising contractors on spec homes and building spec homes myself. I continued that phase of my life for 15 years and grew to love Rustic interior design and architecture. Since then I have filled my 4300 sq ft home full of them. I love to find old things and re-purpose them into something new and useful.
But I started drawing the plans out for my current home 3 years ago, I stared to look again at light fixtures. Well everything I wanted was astronomical and me being a Gemini, thought "I can do this". So my 1st chandelier was a 15 mason jar and pepsi crate chandelier. Then I moved on to mason jar wall sconces, hanging pendants and vanity lighting.
Then I moved to the Twig lights. I saw other Twig Lights and Brancheliers on line for sell and they price was astronomical. I thought "I can do that" so I bought me a 3 light chandelier and went into my woods and pulled out a bunch of fresh grapevines. I wanted to do something different from everyone else. So then I began attaching each branch or vine to the light fixture. It took me forever to do my 1st one, which it usually does with anything I try for the 1st time. But eventually I was happy with it and ended up making 2 more for my home.
I then moved onto the lantern lighting. My 1st ones where for my master bedroom. I had 4 vintage full sized lanterns and electrified them and built shelves for them to set on( one on each side of the mirror and I have to separate vanities) Those turned out awesome.
Meantime, Still looking at lights on the internet, I'm thinking someone should be making these but then I couldn't find them anywhere, so I had no choice but to build more. So I built a 3 light lantern yoke light for above my breakfast bar. Next I built a 3 lantern Cedar log Light to go over my bar. They turned out great. I also put 6 of them out on my back porch. And with a flip of a switch, you have automatic custom accent lighting. I also made a 2 lantern light hanging from an very old pulley for my outhouse bathroom.
I also made several grapevine wreaths with flowers I dried and put tiny string lights in them and have them direct wired in my home. They are great for accent lighting too.
With my house drawing near to completion, I had a surplus of materials left from the building of my home and wanted to use it so I opened the shop on Etsy and have been making custom Natural grapevine twig lights Brancheliers, wall sconces, Custom Metal signage and custom wreaths.
I love what I do and I have very little overhead and I like pass on the savings to my customers.
Oh one more thing my store is called CraftyGeminiCreation but my friends know me as Gemini Genius!! They all say I can make something from nothing. I don't know if that makes me one or not but I'll take it. lol Thanks for visiting and hope you will find something you like and will buy in my store. I promise you'll love it.

If I talk to you and we discuss a custom request, I will give you at that time an estimated production time and ship date. That doesn't mean you are on the list. If you come back a few weeks later or even a day, there possibly could be an order or a few orders more ahead of you.
So if you are under a deadline and have a specific date you need it by, my advice is, don't wait go ahead and buy just to make sure and save you money in the long run.
I do offer expedited production service. But you would have to talk to me to get a quote. It just depends on how many orders I have to get out and how much more time it would take me.
I will ship it through YRC Freight. I just switched from Greyhound Package Express due to delayed shipments and inability to track my bigger shipments. So the price has gone up $30. However, now I can track the packages with ease. Get them to you faster. THE STANDARD SHIPPING STILL REQUIRES YOU TO PICK IT UP AT THE NEAREST YRC TERMINAL.
The price includes the shipping charge and my packaging and handling. It also includes the price the box I buy to ship it in. It is by far the best value and you get it within 5-6 days. The box will weigh approx 30-35 lbs for the 30" light and 45 lbs for the 42" light. And you will need two people to hang this light fixture.
YRC also offers to your door service. Also time critical shipments. So you have the option to get it to your even faster and to your door with no pick up on your part. PLEASE CONTACT ME PRIOR TO PURCHASE IF YOU WANT A QUOTE FOR HOME DELIVERY WHICH INCLUDES 3-4 DAY DELIVERY. OR IF YOU NEED IT FASTER ASK FOR A QUOTE FOR THEIR TIME CRITICAL DELIVERY.
You will be notified by YRC Freight when your shipment has arrived by phone. You will then be required to pick it up at the closest predetermined terminal where you will have 3 days to do so.
If I went though UPS it would costs over $800 to ship this box because of the size. The post office won't take it and all of the other mainstream shippers are astronomical in their prices as well. So far it has worked out great and saved, you , the consumer in the end.
To your door delivery service please Hit the "ask me a question" button and I can give you a quote to have it delivered to your home or business. It is very reasonable and still way cheaper than the other carriers. Again, depending on your location, and how far you live from the nearest YRC Freight terminal. Once we have determined that and the price I have it listed in the "upgrades for chandeliers" section of my shop.
If you don't mind paying the additional charges in getting a different carrier, then I would be happy to accommodate you. Or you can arrange for the shipping yourself, just let me know. But there is a $75 charge for packaging and handling and the box to ship it in.
I will send a notification to your when I have your shipment picked up and you will get a confirmation and PRO# from me. There you can go to http://my.yrc.com/tools/#/track/shipments and track your package there if you wish.
YOUR SHIPMENT IS PERSONALLY GUARANTEED BY ME! If by chance you don't get your shipment, due to an act of God, or lost shipment (which has only happened 1 time due to a blizzard in 2015 and not by YRC but Greyhound) I will build another light for you and ship it to you again. I will deal with YRC on the insurance and refund process. But rest assured, you will get your light. I do guarantee that.
For my 30" diameter chandeliers, I have switched to YRC as well. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.
If you buy any of the smallest lights they will ship Priority Mail through the USPS.
I now am able to ship all of my lights to the major metropolitan areas in Canada. Please contact me prior to checkout for a quote.
Refunds and Exchanges
You will be charged for any revisions. If there are any revisions, you will not get the item shipped until those revisions are paid for. ( ie different style, more candles, more height or width).
I will make minor changes such as not as full or more streamlined or less upward branches. A little more fill in here or there.
I do not refund shipping. I will do everything I can to satisfy you with your custom order.
If I build you a light and we agree on the style, number of candles, height and diameter, and you change your mind, you will have to pay the difference in time it will take me to do those revisions. Otherwise your custom order will not be shipped and it is non refundable.
If you have any questions on my custom order policy, please ask before payment is made.
But rest assured, I will keep an open line of communication and you are welcome to make suggestions during the build process. I take my time and I am very meticulous and you will get my very best each and every time. I will probably more picky about the look than you are. So please buy with confidence. You will be satisfied before you item is ever shipped.
Also keep in mind revisions do take time and will delay shipment.
WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR LIGHT I ASK YOU TO TAKE THE TOP OFF THE BOX FIRST TO INSPECT THE LIGHT AND PLUG IT IN. IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS, LET ME KNOW IMMEDIATELY ( NONE TO DATE, JUST PRECAUTION). This light must be hung by a licensed electrician. IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE OTHER THAN A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN HANG THIS LIGHT AND YOU BREAK IT, OR SHORT CIRCUIT THE LIGHT THAT IS ON YOU. PLEASE FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PAMPLET YOU WILL RECEIVE WITH THE LIGHT. IF YOU MODIFY IT OR THE CHAIN WHILE INSTALLING IT I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE. IF BY CHANCE YOUHAVE TO HAVE YOUR LIGHT REQUIRES DUE TO NON COMPLIANCE OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE THE THE SHIPPING CHARGES. I WANT YOU TO BE 100% SATISFIED WITH YOUR PURCHASE. BUT I CANNOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR YOUR NON-COMPLIANCE. IF THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE LIGHT THAT WE DETERMINE IS MY FAULT, THEN I WILL PAY FREE OF CHARGE TO FIX IT AND SHIP IT BACK TO YOU BOTH WAYS.
I've had my 1st cancellation of a twiglight order. So, If you cancel your order before it I have started on it, I will refund all of the money except $100 for processing and restocking.
Additional policies and FAQs
While I take great care in assembling this product using UL rated components, the assembly as a whole is not UL listed or UL tested for safety; therefore, this fixture should be installed by a certified electrician only. These fixture are not intended for Wet Locations.
My outdoor lights are for damp locations only, like under a covered porch, hot tub room, bathroom or covered patio.
They have to be shielded from the direct sunlight, direct rain and heavy winds. If they are secured further on your end, the winds shouldn't be a problem. The sunlight will cause the fixture to dry out and become brittle after time. So the less direct sunlight it gets the longer the light will last.
Frequent Asked Questions:
Can I build a light smaller? Yes. I can go down to a 38" diameter from 42" I can make them shorter down to 26" from 28"on the large lights. 30" down to 28 and 24" down to 22" tall for the smaller lights. This is because of the custom box I buy to ship these lights in. The way I have them designed to endure the shipment, is that they fit in the box tightly where the branches are used as a natural cushion. And the height to keep it in place if turned upside down in transit. If this shifts it would be ok. If it moves around freely, it could break and I don't want repairing lights to be my forte. I build not repair.
Can I make them bigger? yes, if you pick them up yourself or arrange with me prior to ordering a personal delivery from me and my husband depending on your location.
Can I paint them another color besides white? yes. I can paint them any color you wish. I am in the midst of developing an overlay on the paint as well with a copper patina, old gold and bronze. But right now, I use Rustoleum Enamel. You can see the other choices here:
Can the honeysuckle vines be used for outdoor lighting? No they can not.
Will my light get damaged during shipping? It could happen. But it's highly unlikely. The only thing I've had as far as any damage, was the fairy lights were broke. That's one time out of 80. If that happens, as instructed in your user manual you will get in the box, you call me immediately and I will send out a replacement set for you to install on the light. Its very simple. So don't worry about it. I'm 100% confident that your light will arrive safely and in a timely manner.
Thank you for looking! If you have any questions, whatsoever, please feel free to ask. Look forward to meeting you and building you a fabulous one of a kind light fixture you will love.
Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
I will talk to you about your request and decide then if I can do it or not. Plain and simple
I have several different sizes. My largest size I do is a 42X28. Because if shipping restrictions I cannot go any taller. Because of the custom ordered boxes I buy, I cannot go any wider.
Why don't you accept retuns?
I don't accept returns, because each light I build it custom built to your specifications and what options you go with. I send photos though out the build, before I put the fairy lights on,(if applicable) and before I paint or clear coat. Also when it is finished and right before I put it in the box.
You will have a have a chance to tell me at those stages if there is something you don't like about the light then. If you tell me you love the light and it's go time on the clear coat....That light is yours. I promise you will love it before you ever get it.
Can I get a longer chain with my light?
Yes you can. It is listed by the foot along with the wire under the upgrades for chandeliers section in my shop.
Can the Honeysuckle Series Lights be made for damp location?
No they can not. The reason is, I see what happens to the vines after they have been exposed to the weather. The grapevine will peel all of it's bark off and get hard as a brick bat. However, most of the Honeysuckle will dry and wither up and become brittle if it's left outside.
Even though my outdoor lights are damp location only, which means guarded from direct water and sunlight, they will still take on the moisture and I just don't want to take any chances of you light being damaged from that.
Why can I only ship through YRC ?
My 42 and 30 inch lights only ship YRC Frieght because they exceed the post office size restrictions. My smaller 18 & 24 inch and wall sconces that I have listed can ship USPS.
However, I can ship through UPS or FED EX. 42" is $1200 30" is $800.
Overall I have had great results with YRC for my bigger lights (42") They are very easy to track and can handle my big boxes where Greyhound is great with my smaller boxes. They have all arrived safely because of the handling and care.
So the difference in price just isn't worth it. They both offer express service as well as to your door service. Ask me about these before purchasing.
Can my light dim?
Yes it can. So can the fairy lights. All you need is 1. Dimmer LED bulbs 2. Switch on the wall with an on/off & Dimmer dial.
For fairy lights all you need is in the upgrades for chandeliers, choose Dimmer remote. I will install the device into the light and you will have a battery powered remote to dim and power on & off.
If you want to dim them with a wall control, you would choose Dimmer/2wire option on the listing by the price. ( I explain how it works there)
You will receive an envelope on the outside of your box that has instructions on how to open the box without damaging your light fixture. It also has helpful tips on installation and care. Everything to need to know really, in order to install and maintain one of these spectacular light fixtures.
Why do I have to wait?
The simple answer is, I build them one at a time. I have 2 employees and myself that has turned up production to 1 light a week. There are over 100 hours of work in each light I build. I've got so many orders at a time before I've had to close my doors in order to catch up and not sale anymore.
But I just can't catch up it seems. Which is a good problem for me to have, but a not so good one for you. But as they say, good things come to those that wait. And the sooner you get on the list, the sooner you will get your light.
But I promise you will love your light and it will be worth the wait. Also, you get what you pay for. So keep that in mind while you are shopping and making up your mind. :)
