About

Beautifying the world, one flower at a time!

I opened my Etsy shop in 2006, but I have been creating french beaded flowers much, much longer than that. I started making them as gifts and received so many compliments and so much encouragement that I finally began selling them online. Over the years I have experimented with other types of arts and crafts, but I always return to beaded flowers.

French beaded flowers are created by stringing tiny seed beads on wire, forming each individual part of the flower, and then assembling it into a completed flower. They are works of art that will last forever with virtually no care. The best thing is they can be enjoyed by those with allergies that made it miserable to have fresh flowers around! Most all of my designs are made with Czech glass seed beads or occasionally vintage beads that I have in my stash.

While I am a one woman shop, I could not enjoy my passion without the love and support of my family. They occasionally serve as sounding boards for new ideas and do not mind when supper is a little late!

I am inspired by nature and insects. I love to interpret butterflies and dragonflies into original french beaded plant sticks. Since my name means "Bee", Bumblebees are also a favorite subject. Most of my flower designs include vases so they are ready to display or give as a gift. Custom orders are always welcome! I have enjoyed designing everything from floral head pieces for flower girls to a very special baby gift!

Nothing gives me more pleasure than knowing my beaded flowers are being enjoyed by so many people!

I have been blessed to have some of my beaded flowers that are in a private collection in exhibitions at Thielska Gallery in Stockholm, Sweden (2015) and Palazzetto Bru Zane during Venice Glass Week in Venice, Italy (2017). Here is a little video from the exhibition in Stockholm:

I am lucky enough to live in a rural upstate New York town where the beauty of nature that surrounds me serves as the inspiration in my french beaded flower designs. I am happily married to a supportive husband, and we have one daughter.

Shipping
I ship via the USPS in 1-2 business day from when payment clears in my account. Most shipments include tracking/delivery confirmation. I take great care in packaging and use a variety of recycled boxes, bubble wrap, etc. Etsy will automatically combine shipping for multiple purchases on your invoice.

Shipping is now calculated based on your zip code and the weight of the items. Most french beaded flower arrangements that include vases are mailed Priority. Those without vases most likely mail first class.

I cannot be responsible for mail lost or damaged by the postal service; if you would like to purchase insurance, please let me know in advance & I will send an adjusted invoice.

International buyers: Due to the rise in postal and PayPal costs, I do not have my shipping set up to ship internationally. Please contact me if you wish to make a purchase, and I will estimate shipping costs to you as best I can. Please be aware that in the case of unique custom orders (flowers I have not created before) or large orders, the final shipping fee may be higher. I will absolutely refund any overpayment of shipping charges back to your original payment method. I am not responsible for any customs fees or import fees imposed by your postal service.
Additional policies and FAQs
I welcome custom orders. When the project has been agreed upon, I require a 50% nonrefundable deposit to purchase supplies. I will keep you informed of my progress along the way. Full payment is required prior to shipping.

All items are handmade by me in my smoke-free, pet-free home.
