Announcement   I've been buying and selling antique textiles (particularly antique lace) for over 20 years here in England, and in that time I have built up a collection of wonderful antique needlework patterns, magazines and books, as well as many examples of the antique textiles themselves.

At the same time I have been doing needlepoint as a hobby. In fact I have a sampler dated 1984 that I made, so I have been doing this longer than even I remember!

Now I have brought both these interests together and created these needlepoint designs for you to work yourself.

The designs are a mixture of these lovely antique designs,(many dated from the 19th century) updated and simplified to make them easier to work. Sometimes two designs are merged together and on many of the designs I have added original elements. I have always loved antique lace and on some of the designs have added 'lace effect' elements for added decoration.

Although these designs have been stitched as needlepoint projects, many of the original patterns were intended to be made as filet lace, cross stitch, etc. so the squared charts can be used for a wide variety of crafts. No wools are included so you are free to copy the colours used here or let your imagination run free and choose whichever colours take your fancy!

I do hope you enjoy making these items. I will be adding more pieces over time so do drop by again.

I love this pattern but wish the colors listed had the DMC equivalents. Hard to match the colors from the online sources I tried. Each one had variations.
