Frequently asked questions
Wash Wool
Each skein is prewashed with a wool soap after being dyed. However, and because zero risk does not exist, a slight color bleed may be possible. This may affect other colors, especially white or lighter shades.
It is recommended to set the color of each skein in the vinegar.
Although the fiber is Superwash, it is recommended to use a wool soap and hand wash your fiber. Dry the fiber flat after your piece is finished. You will then preserve the beauty and properties of fiber for years to come.
Recipe to fix the color of the fiber:
¼ cup of vinegar
3 cups warm water
Soak 3 hours
Rinse gently with a wool soap. Dry the skein by suspending it on a plastic hanger.

Knots, irregularities in wool
It is normal to find knots or small irregularities in the wool. It is natural fibers. Quality control is done and a maximum of three (3) nodes is tolerated.
Vegetable elements in wool
It is normal to find plants in the wool like branches, small pieces of reeds or leaves. The wool is cleaned and skewered, but any small pieces can remain after our quality control. Wool is a natural material from sheep raised ethically at CréartLaine. If we never find these residues, we would be very worried.
