About ButterflyRougeStudio

Sales 2,561
On Etsy since 2009

I heart handmade!

It all started some years ago with a birthday gift from my hubby. He didn't get me the usual perfume, scarf or kitchen gadget. No, he gifted me with a glass painting kit. The kit consisted of 3 little glass paint jars, one brush and a video.

I was absolutely mesmerized by the video demonstration and I fell in love with glass painting. I started painting oil bottles, beer glasses, ornaments, anything that was made of glass that I could get my hands on. I showered my friends and family with my creations. They told me I should sell my work and I did: I participated in a few arts and craft shows and in 2009 I opened my Etsy store.

I just love to design, create and paint. I can stay in my studio for hours, listening to French music and paint away. In addition to glass painting, I create very detailed abstract drawings with micron pens, sew glass bead embroidered velvet bracelets and cook up delicious vegetarian recipes from the bounty of my garden.

Woof, I'm Tchoupi, the assistant! I'm a Chihuahua-Terrier mix. My mommy doesn't let me do much painting. I mostly sleep on my pillow in the studio and wag my tail when it's time for our walk.

Shop policies

Last updated on December 23, 2018
All my items are freehand painted. I sometimes use my own templates but no two pieces are alike as they are hand-painted. The item you will receive may be slightly different than the one pictured in my shop.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
All my glassware/ceramic is painted with non-toxic glass paint. It is heat-set in the oven to make it durable. To keep it beautiful for years to come, simply do the following:
. Wash it by hand in warm water. Avoid hot water and soaking for long periods of time.
. Refrain from using sharp utensils on the painted area to avoid scratches.
(Care instructions are included with each shipment)
