I am in love with this bonnet. I cherish it so much! The quality is amazing, the bling is gorgeous, and I got my horse's name embroidered on the ear which everyone thinks is so neat and cute. MHB will be my go to for all of my bonnet needs!

How MHB Creations came to be

A few years ago, my daughter, who does horse shows, asked me if I could make her "that", pointing to a horse that was wearing a fly bonnet. I said "I don't know, I'll see what I can do".

I started my research and found out that fly bonnets are crocheted, something I didn't know how to do. But I knew how to knit, so I figured it couldn't be that different. So thanks to the Internet, I learned how to crochet! Now the only thing left to do was to figure out a pattern for fly bonnets. Using a store-bought bonnet, I made a few prototypes and finally figured out what worked.

When my daughter showed up at the stable with her custom bonnet, it didn't take long for her friends to say they wanted one too. That's when MHB Creations came to be.

I realised that my fly bonnets were popular, so I created new patterns using different stitches and refined my options. Today I offer custom-made fly bonnets, and owners and riders can choose between a wide variety of stitches, colours and trim options.

As for the embroidery side of MHB Creations, it also started with horses. I noticed that some horses had personnised blankets and saddle pads. I could do that too! I bought a commercial embroidery machine and I can now personnalise my fly bonnets. I also offer an embroidery service and customers can have various accessories personnalised.

I enjoyed crochet so much that I decided to widen my offering and I also create crocheted accessories for people and their animal companions.

To be able to meet the demand, I rely on a very talented person to create baby related articles. Without her help, I wouldn't be where I am today.
