Creative Dexterity launched in 2007 and the name reflects the ways in which my hands play a major role in my creative process. Sure, I rely on my ideas, my sense of sight and equipment in my studio but my hands are my most valued tool. Its something I will never take for granted. I take pride in my handmade creations, adding my own personal imprint to each and every piece.

I admit its tough being a sole proprietor in a world full of big commercial businesses that rely on less than minimum wage, outsourced and/or machine labor to produce their products quicker, and at times less of the cost of a handmade piece. However this has not deterred me by doing something I am passionate and feel strongly about. It's not just about producing, making jewelry or earning an income. It's the "life" and connection my jewelry has once it is purchased and worn by the new owner. Where the piece goes, what it has been through and relationship it has with the wearer seems just as special as creating a piece. That's something that inspires me as a business owner and creator. An artist will never get tired of hearing customers say "I get so many compliments" on a piece they have of yours.

Aside from being the jewelry maker and owner of Creative Dexterity I'm also customer service, website/shop maintenance, social media marketer, photographer, blogger, supplies purchaser, inventory specialist and more! I'm a women of many roles and I admit it's a challenging to find time and balance for each of these roles but I'm loving every minute of it.
