About

When I was younger, I attended Hesston College in Hesston, Kansas. While there I took a sociology course. One of my assignments was to befriend an elderly woman at a nearby retirement village. She had a beautiful wheat piece hanging on her wall that she had made. I had never seen anything like it and fell in love with it! During our weekly sessions, she would teach me how to weave wheat. I brought that talent back to Pennsylvania with me and starting doing shows with the pieces I created.
Years later I was introduced to Etsy. I started brainstorming other ways I could let my creative juices flow. My first two sales on Etsy were actually food--chocolate covered Ritz crackers filled with peanut butter and pretzels with vanilla wafers topped with an M&M. Because the shelf life was not lengthy for these items, I decided not to continue sales in food. Instead, I started to dabble with wood in my Dad's shop. I absolutely loved creating new pieces for my shop and still do!! Now, most of my shop is some sort of wood creation. Although, I have added a small vintage section and I have a few wheat pieces, which are mostly made to order.

I love the smell of sawdust! I guess you could say it's in my blood because my dad is a carpenter. Every time I enter my dad's barn, I look for that perfect piece of wood to create new items for my shop. Designing each item with care is my passion and seeing the finished piece brings me such joy! My hope is that the completed crafts will bring you pleasure as well, either by viewing them or purchasing them for your home. I gladly accept custom orders. That keeps my creative juices flowing! So, if you can't find what you are looking for exactly, send me a convo and we'll create something special together!

Shipping
Items ship within 1-2 business days of payment confirmation. Custom orders and made to order items ship within 1-2 weeks. You will receive an e-mail when your item has been shipped. All items are shipped via Priority Mail, which means you should receive them within 1-3 business days with the exception of some larger items. Some larger items will be shipped Fedex to get a better shipping rate, so these may take longer than 1-3 business days. All packages come with $50 of insurance coverage to ensure your purchase arrives in perfect condition. Items shipped via Fedex come with insurance coverage as well. Should you have any issues with shipping please contact me for your tracking number.

Orders will be shipped to the address you have on file with Etsy/Paypal. Please check it prior to submitting an order! Anything returned or lost due to an incorrect address will result in new shipping charges, which will be the responsibility of the buyer.

If you plan to purchase more than one item, please convo me and I will adjust shipping rates if possible to save you money. Sometimes the second item can ship for free if shipping is combined.
Refunds and Exchanges
Returns are happily refunded on non-custom orders. The item must be returned in the original condition, at the customer’s expense, within 14 days of receiving the item. Unfortunately, initial shipping fees cannot be refunded.

If you are not happy with your item for any reason, please contact me. I value you as a customer and would love a chance to resolve any issues regarding your purchase.
Additional policies and FAQs
Due to the grain patterns, markings, stains, etc. on the wood, as well as the fact that each piece is hand painted, no two pieces are exactly alike.

Please convo me if you are interested in a custom order. I love creating new pieces and would thoroughly enjoy making a piece that is just for you!!

Feel free to convo me with any questions or concerns you may have regarding my shop. I check my Etsy shop regularly, so I will do my best to reply back within 24 hours.

Disclaimer

The wood I use in my shop comes from places like barns, fences, pallets, homesteads, etc. Some of the wood I use is old and weathered, so it can have cracks and splinters. Please be careful when handling it. I do sand most items, however, in order to preserve the rustic nature of the piece I do not sand the wood perfectly smooth. Barn wood is washed thoroughly before being used.
