I started making jewelry after taking a simple silk knotting class at a local bead shop. It was so much fun, I went back for more, and discovered a silver chain class. I was instantly hooked! One class led to another: chain making II, classes with friends, classes at art centers, and before I even had a chance to notice, a full-fledged obsession was born.

I started my etsy shop after I realized I had about 50 pairs of freshly-made earrings, and not nearly enough occasions to wear them. (Although, really, who needs an excuse to wear a fabulous pair of earrings?!) Since then, I've been honing my skills, gathering designs, and figuring out just exactly what -I- would want to buy if I came across my shop. The results? Jewelry and artwork I adore, and other people who find the same details as "necessary" as I do.

I make each item by hand, they are all completely one-of-a-kind. I love the organic nature of each individual nuance between pieces, making them unique and distinct.

I have a background in graphic design, and like to focus on delicate and decorative details. My favorite designs blend the ideal of elegance using hearts, flourishes, Victorian and Celtic inspired intricacy, and the occasional butterfly.

Jewelry making satisfies my need for making pleasing tangible objects in our increasingly digital and “unreal” world. It lets me wear a feeling, a mood, a place in my mind. I strive to find a story in the pieces, create a feel for a place, represent a feeling with color, or create a smile in the small details.

My favorite materials are silver, labradorite, pearls, chalcedony, cirtine, aquamarine, whimsy, and fluttery silk ribbons. I hope to share the things I find pleasing in the world and put them together in ways that delight others as well.
