For the love of all things embroidery

My grandmother taught me embroidery and various other fiber arts when I was a child. I picked hand embroidery back up during my college years in nursing school as a creative outlet that helped me to decompress from the stress of the everyday.

For years, I worked hard stitching custom embroidery, specifically pet portraits. I have taken a step back from offering customs and now enjoy making a variety of modern embroidery and thread painting patterns to help others learn.

I feel very thankful to be able to share and inspire others to be creative. Embroidery is truly so fun and therapeutic!

All of my embroideries are designed by myself and made meticulously with love and hard work. The goal of Crewel Ghoul is to celebrate an old handcraft by adding a modern twist to it. The beauty of handmade is that no one item is completely alike, and the flaws and irregularities are what make it so special. In a world that is so digitized, it feels good sometimes to slow down and make something tangible.
