In 2017 I was working in a coffee place. Working there during the day, while working as a freelance illustrator in the evening. One day while I was working one of the regulars whom I chatted with often invited me to start playing Dungeons & Dragons. As a child I was always building fantasy worlds and characters, in my head, on paper and eventually in games. So I directly answered yes to his invitation.

I started out playing some characters where I discovered my love for helping others out and growing together. After about 2 years I decided I was experienced enough to start DMing myself (When are you ever experienced enough to start DMing?).

And thus I fell lovingly into the classic mistake of designing my own world, including weird plateau mountain villages which revered a strange competition driven god by building towers. Are you still following?

With this hobby my desire to tell stories transferred from drawn stories to interactive narrative ones. With dming came lot's of new creative expressions that I liked to do. Designing and printing maps, crafting, finding matching music and eventually printing and painting miniatures.

I bought my first 3D printer in January 2020. My passion for 3D printing quickly skyrocketed. Me and my girlfriend spend entire evenings painting the miniatures we would eventually use in our home games.

Something that I try during Dungeons & Dragons combat is doing something exciting with tabletop terrain. Whether it's shadows cast by huge ruin walls, pools of flooding acid, skeletal remains that are animated or bushes to hide in.

When I discovered the vast possibilities of tabletop terrain and the huge library of Cast 'n Plays 3D printable Terrain Essentials I knew I had a chance to share my passion with all other DMs and Tabletop Heroes.
