This yarn is so beautiful, I am savoring every stitch. It is such a soft feminine color with the most beautiful plum and gold/orange speckles.

Beautiful yarn as always, with those extras that make you feel special. The ginger candy is to die for btw.

Had a busy weekend and week so far, but managed to sneak a few newbies into the shop sweat_smile Clockwise fr top L: Rooted, Rain on My Windowpane, Gesundheit, Al and Whippoorwill. Thanks!
Lots cooking in the Kitchen this past weekend. It was busy but the nice weather was here - it's wonderful to hang the hanks outside to dry! Clockwise fr top L: Crush, Loose and Complete (a nice, smoky blue-green wink), All Hail Kale! and Violet Blackregard
I had some fun with my new organic bases. It's just good wool +1skin-tone-2 On the Left side is the 80/20 wool/nylon in Loose and Complete (a nice, smoky blue-green wink) and Cleopatra and the Asp. On the right are All Hail Kale! and Violet Blackregard in pure wool

About

Knit or Try Dyeing!

It all started in my kitchen (which really is crooked). I caught the dyeing bug using food colouring but have since moved to a little basement studio and professional acid dyes. My shop is new but my love of yarn, knitting and colour have been with me for years and years. Dividing my free hours between knitting and dyeing is my biggest challenge - so much yarn, so little time...

I'm a yarn and knitting fanatic with a busy family and full-time (non-fibre-related) job. In my spare time I swoon for colour (subtle, bold, variegated, tonal - all are beautiful) and gorgeous bases just begging to be turned into something amazing.

Thank you for stopping at my shop! I am a lover of yarn, knitting and colour, and if you're here I'm guessing you are, too. I seek out quality bases to dye and I use professional, colourfast and washfast acid dyes. I won't sell any hank that I wouldn't consider purchasing myself. Generally, I dye in small batches of about 400g - 500g but if you would like a larger quantity I can usually accommodate - convo me and let's talk.

PLEASE read the description accompanying my listings as I list the colours used as well as anything notable about the yarn, which, in combination with the pictures should fully illustrate each colourway.

Shipping
I will ship usually within 1 business day of payment confirmation, via the most economical Canada Post option. Unfortunately, postage costs in Canada are high (sorry, eh!) but domestically, do include tracking and insurance, plus delivery is relatively quick. If you wish to add any other features or expedite the package, please contact me for a quote.

CANADIAN BUYERS: I can ship domestically, up to 3 regular hanks via UNTRACKED lettermail using vacuum-sealed packaging if you wish to save shipping costs. One hank = $3, two hanks = $4, three hanks = $5. Let me know at time of purchase and I'll refund excess postage paid.

If you live in the K-W area let me know and I will issue a free shipping coupon and we can arrange a pick-up.

U. S. BUYERS: For most reasonable rates, shipping small packets to the U. S. is via air but EXCLUDES insurance and tracking. Delivery should be within 14 business days (usually less), but occasionally takes a bit longer. If you'd like upgraded shipping, let me know and I'll get a quote. Larger packages are automatically shipped with tracking.

INTERNATIONAL: Outside North America, shipping is generally UNTRACKED GROUND in order to keep costs to a minimum. I will select the best option available for the shipping paid but please be patient as packages may take 4 weeks or more to arrive. If you'd like expedited options please convo me for a quote.

Duties and taxes are your responsibility and cstoms tags will state the actual cost; no customs or duty fees are included in what you pay. International shipping times can vary greatly, especially overseas - please be patient if it seems to be taking longer than usual as it is likely that your package will eventually arrive.

I follow Canada Post's guidelines regarding lost packages, which is usually only considered so after 30 business days. Let me know if your package seems to be taking unusually long and I'll follow up from this side if at all possible, but PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU DO NOT CHOOSE TRACKED POSTAGE THERE IS LITTLE I CAN DO.
Refunds and Exchanges
I would like you to be happy with your purchase. If you are dissatisfied, kindly contact me and I will work with you to rectify the problem. Barring that, I will accept returns for refund within 20 days provided the hank is in its original condition; however, postage will not be refunded.
Additional policies and FAQs
I make every effort to represent the true colours of the yarn in the pictures but we all know that screens and monitors differ. Furthermore, I'm a novice photographer. If you are at all unsure about the colour please contact me and I will send more pictures and/or provide more details. My guess is that if you are shopping for hand dyed yarn you like colour and don't mind talking about it ad nauseum, like me. I want you to LOVE your yarn.

I consider one knot or join in a hank to be acceptable. I also may re-skein after photographing and prior to shipping if the hank became tangled. I'd be happy to wind any of your purchases into a cake for $1 each, simply add that "item" to your cart.

If you are using multiple hanks of the same colourway I recommend you alternate every two rows or so, as even those from the same pot can differ noticeably - especially with space-dyed colourways. The individuality of each hank is part of the charm and beauty of small-batch hand dyed yarn.

To assure them a long, beautiful life, please hand wash and air dry your finished objects, regardless of the "superwash" designation.

My studio is in a smoke-free but dog-friendly home (the pooch is hypo-allergenic, regularly groomed and isn't generally interested in my yarn. Dyed hanks are stored in bags in closed plastic bins.

If you would like SQs or a specific colourway that may not be currently listed, please don't hesitate to contact me. If you are interested in a certain colourway on a different base, I can usually do that, too - convo me.
