About

Life takes a sense of humor and a bit of whimsy - welcome to Crowbirdie Miniatures!

My name is Lauren Bramble. I have a very small studio in Manchester, Maryland in a rural area where I see birds, horses, chickens and wildlife every day. Sculpting has always been a way to help me use my creativity and to spread some joy and whimsy out into the world. I fight daily with chronic pain and illness and these friendly miniature animals brighten my day.

My figures tend to be humorous or whimsical, and based on nature and animals: birds of all sorts, our pets, our chickens, or whatever creatures catch my interest when I'm working the clay. Chickens show up a lot because they have a tremendous amount of personality and great attitudes. I spend time watching the wild birds at our birdfeeders and they inspire a lot of my work. Crows and ravens, the jokers of the bird world and fellow collectors of sparkly bits, are also frequent subjects.

My main intent is to convey a sense of humor and kindness. If they make someone smile then I've done the best thing an artist can do. I've spread a tiny bit of joy and humor, and that makes the world just a wee bit better.

Hi there! I have been sculpting tiny animals ever since I was a child and my parents gave me an assortment of Play-Doh for Christmas. My critters are made from polymer clay which allows me to add tiny details, humor and whimsy.

Hey there!

Welcome to my Etsy shop! I make these small figures using various types of polymer clay, a type of clay that I can cure by a low temperature session in an oven. They aren't toys, they're collectible companions for folks who might not have the room for a real horse, unicorn, or flock of chickens. Each one is unique and I hope that you enjoy them.

I can do custom orders and I'm happy to work with you, but please be patient as it can take a lot of time for me to create an item. I will not copy someone else's work or make figures that look like copyrighted items.
