About

clay, color and carving

I’ve loved to draw and make things ever since I was a little girl. I've dabbled in fiber art, collage, graphic art & typography design, woodcarving, paper mache, colored pencil drawing, sculpture, etc. But it wasn’t until 2003 that I began to play around with clay. I fell in love - deeply. Clay, for me, is the perfect mix of science and art, of mystery and magic. It offers a lifetime of challenges.

I make art tiles for wall hanging or architectural installation. I also make functional and sculptural ceramics and offer my tiles, functional ware and sculptures in galleries and fine craft exhibits. I work out of my studio right near my home and fire everything there.

I am inspired by my surroundings, as are most artists. I live in and am native to the Pacific NW, Washington State, USA. While I’ve traveled much, I still choose to call this place home. My roots run deep - the huge trees, beautiful mountains and life-giving waters of this area are as much a part of me as my blood and bones.

I love color and the power it has to transform our emotions. My pieces are usually upbeat, cheerful and a little quirky. They spring from a belief that generally, life is good and there's always something to celebrate.

Hi, and thanks for shopping at Crowfoot Studio!
My tiles and other ceramic items are each entirely handcrafted with the utmost care. I take pride in fine craftsmanship and believe in providing awesome customer service. I hope you find something you like. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept payment by credit card directly through Etsy, or through PayPal at time of purchase. For Washington State customers, 8.5% sales tax will be added to your invoice during checkout.
Shipping
I try very hard to offer the best shipping costs for my customers. I have two shipping prices - $5 for small items, $9 for larger items. If you buy more than one item - or even twenty more - you'll still pay just $5 or $9 to have your entire order sent to you. I package securely and do my best to ship same day of receiving payment, if order is received early enough in the day. Next day for sure.

DOMESTIC: For Domestic customers, I have had the best luck so far and found the best prices with United States Post Office Priority Mail. It takes only 2-3 days to get a package anywhere in the United States.

INTERNATIONAL: I will ship international orders via First Class or Priority International Mail. Buyers are responsible for any customs fees or duties due upon delivery. Delivery time is usually 6-10 days. It is best if you contact me first with your postal code and item(s) you're interested in, so I can find the least expensive shipping cost for you. I do not charge more than it actually costs me to ship. There are so many variables that it is almost impossible to quote accurate international shipping prices up front for each item, prior to knowing where it will be going and whether you will be purchasing more than one item. But I love to hear from international customers, so don't hesitate to contact me!

LOCAL CUSTOMERS: If you are local and would prefer to pick up your item, please contact me first so I can remove shipping charges from the listing - or make your purchase, let me know in the "Message to Seller" box, and I 'll refund your shipping charges when we meet.

GIFTS: I am happy to gift wrap, enclose a gift card and ship directly to recipient. Just let me know if it's a gift, and what message you would like on the enclosure.

RECYCLING: I recycle anything and everything that can be used as packing material. The protective packaging you receive may already have been around the world at least a couple times.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are not satisfied with your order and wish to return it, please contact me within 5 days of receipt. I will refund the cost of the merchandise, upon receipt in good condition. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility. All sales on custom items are final.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders are always welcome. Do you see something you like but want it in a different size/color? Want a different subject or design? Just contact me to discuss.
