About crudecrafts
On my own
I live in a small apartment on Buffalo's west side with 2 cats, a pile of fabric, and too much yarn. I spend all my time making things, thinking about making things, or wishing I was making things.
I grew up in a small town where we had to make our own fun, so I learned to make the things I wanted since there was no store to walk to.
I prioritize sustainability in my creative practice and make every effort not to throw away ANYTHING.
All the scraps of fabric are saved and used until they are all but non-existent. In the winter my felted ornaments are stuffed with the remnants from the thrifted sweaters.
You can read more about me in an interview I gave here: http://secondstorie.blogspot.com/2010/11/vendor-spotlight-crude-crats.html

Shop policies
I am a Buffalo based artist, designer, and stuff-maker. I live with 2 cats, a pile of fabric, and too much yarn. I spend all my time making things, thinking about making things, or wishing I was making things.
All items are made with a simple aesthetic that make use of found and repurposed items as often as possible. I use all the fragments and bits of my materials to eliminate as much waste as possible, with a goal of creating a sustainable practice.
I find beauty in the most mundane objects and hope to share that with my customers. Should you have any questions about my work, or my methods please don't hesitate to ask.
Crude: Adjective
