How it all began...

Crystal Heaven London is an independent British jewellery brand established in 2013 by founder, Natasha.

How it all began...
From what started as a hobby, I found a passion for creating handmade crystal and gemstone jewellery whilst working as a tattoo apprentice. This sparked a new path and I decided to pursue it by completing a Jewellery Manufacture and Design diploma at the British Academy of Jewellery in Hatton Garden.
Soon after, I was offered an opportunity to work as a Jewellery Production Assistant in London for a renowned fashion house, gaining invaluable knowledge on the various processes involved in jewellery design. This lead to creating my own brand focusing on piercing adornments and semi-precious jewellery. I personally design, create, pack your lovely orders and everything in-between from our plant filled office - fuelled by coffee and podcasts!

My goal for CHL
Is to design effortlessly-chic jewellery you can cherish, at attainable prices and with a quality you know you can rely on time and time again. Our collection is designed to mix, match and stack together for a one-of-a-kind experience each time you curate your ears. My favourite part of all is the personal touch I can add to every single order.

In the interest of hygiene we do not accept returns or refunds on pierced earrings or body jewellery. This policy is enabled for the protection and health of the consumer.
Please read and understand the product description carefully, ensuring you order the correct gauge, length and materials for your desired piercing.
The buyer is fully responsible for making sure the item is suitable before purchasing and checking for potential metal sensitivities or allergies before purchasing any of our products.
If the item does not match the description or if you believe you have received the incorrect size/colour, please send a message within 7 days of receiving the item(s) so we can check your order. You will be asked to provide a photograph of the item(s) you have received so we resolve the issue as soon as possible. If we are unable to resolve the issue visually by the photographs provided we will need the item to be returned.
In the unlikely event that your item is faulty, you will be asked to return it for inspection so we can issue your refund or send a replacement.

LOST/MISSING/UNDELIVERED PARCELS
If your parcel has not arrived after 30 working days from the due date, it may have encountered an issue in transit. Usually these parcels are sent back to our returns address labelled on the packaging so we can contact you to rearrange delivery, however in some cases we never receive them back. Please note that some Standard International parcels can take up to three months to arrive although this is unlikely, however we will ask you wait to see if it arrives during this period.
Once we are certain your parcel has been lost or stolen, we will offer a direct replacement for the item but we are unable to offer a refund.
If your parcel is returned to us because it was refused or undelivered at the address provided, you will be asked to pay the postage to resend the order. If you no longer want the order, we will refund for the item cost only.

METAL ALLERGIES:
It is the responsibility of the customer to be aware of any allergies he/she may have to certain metals in used in jewellery. As we are unable to know your personal and individual sensitives, we accept no liability for any metal allergies or irritations that may occur as a result of wearing our jewellery.
Some metals used may contain brass, copper and nickel, please see the individual items product description which will state the jewellery material. If you are unsure, please send us a message before ordering.

PRODUCT PHOTOS/MEASUREMENTS:
Please note that the colours in photos may look different depending on your monitor settings. When it comes to the size or natural colour of an item, photos can sometimes be unintentionally misleading. The product listing will contain measurements of the item so if you are unsure, please compare these against a ruler. If you need a specific measurement or additional photos, please don't hesitate to ask.

JEWELLERY CARE:
It is advised to remove all jewellery when undergoing a physical activity such as sport or manual work to reduce the risk of breakages. Plated metals can tarnish over time when exposed to chemicals, such as pool and sea water, hair spray, perfume and lotions. It's highly recommended to put your jewellery on last to minimise contact with these chemicals.
Please use common sense and handle your jewels with care and love!

FITTING NEW JEWELLERY:
So you've just received your new jewellery and you can't wait to wear it! We totally get it, but there are a few important things to remember before rushing straight in.
Please make sure you find a clean and safe area where there is less risk of loosing small components if you drop them. We often advise customers to sit as close to the floor as possible on a large towel for example so you can find parts easily if they fall. Another helpful tip is to use latex or rubber gloves to ensure balls and internally threaded tops are screwed in securely, as bare hands are slippery and can not grip small parts very well.
We hate to state the obvious, but if you have acrylic/long nails please do not attempt to fit jewellery yourself! This will most likely not end well! If you're unsure on how to fit anything, just don't risk it, this can cause severe trauma to your piercing which can lead to swelling and soreness. Which leads us to one of the most important factors to check before fitting - is your piercing ready to change? Each piercing has its own healing time and process, it is so important so leave your initial piercing jewellery in for the amount of time specified by your piercer. They will often give you a date to come back for a jewellery down-sizing, this is crucial to the healing process as once the swelling has subsided, your jewellery is probably too long for the piercing. Don't be afraid to ask your piercer lots of questions, it only helps you to make sure you do everything correctly resulting in shorter healing times - happy days!
If you have any doubt about changing piercings yourself, we highly advise visiting your local licensed piercer who will be able to help you safely fit your new jewellery, that's what they are there for and you could even get another piercing at the same time ;)

IRRITATIONS & INFECTIONS - WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?
As we mentioned above, fitting new jewellery can sometimes cause trauma to the piercing. A lot of people immediately assume this is due to the jewellery itself, but it is likely to be from messing around with the piercing too much. If you notice the area reddening and becoming warm to touch - STOP NOW! You are going to irritate it.
The symptoms of an irritation can be similar to those of an infection. If the area is red, tender, excreting white/yellow fluid or seems to have a bump around the piercing, it is probably irritated. These are all signs that the piercing is being subjected to physical trauma and this will subside over time. Ear cartilage piercings can be touchy even after being healed for years, it is possible to knock it by accident and experience irritation for a few days.
Some common causes of irritation are:
- Touching or playing with the piercing
- Applying pressure while sleeping
- Bumped the piercing by accident
- Irritation from skin or hair products
- Wrong jewellery type, material or length
- Changing jewellery too soon
It is advised to apply a salt water bath to the area, this will help to soothe piercing irritations.

Infections:
Infections occur when your piercing is exposed to bacteria from factors such as unwashed hands. You will usually know if your piercing becomes infected if the surrounding tissue becomes red, painful, swollen and hot to the touch with excess swelling. The most obvious sign of an infection is a yellowish-green pus-like discharge with a bad odor. The only way to get rid of an infection is with treatment from a doctor, usually with a short course of antibiotics.
(Infections and irritations do have some overlap as both potentially share the same symptoms of pain, swelling, and redness)

Allergic Reaction:
Allergic reactions often appear as rashes, redness and itchiness. These will show up immediately after the skin is exposed to the jewellery. You can be allergic to any material and not know it, so you must listen to your body and pay close attention to how your skin reacts to new jewellery.

Fitting New Jewellery

Please fit your jewellery in a safe place. It is very easy to drop a part of your jewellery and loose it. Due to small balls and threaded tops, we strongly advise that you fit and remove your jewellery in an area where you can easily find it again if you accidentally drop it. If you struggle fitting jewellery, please consult your piercer.
We are not responsible for carelessness!
