About

I love what I do, I do what I love!

Hello

I discovered the art of making jewelry by accident. Fueled by my love of beach glass, 18 years ago I made myself a very organic beach glass bracelet. I wore this bracelet to an event and suddenly I was a beach glass jewelry artist.

My degree is in textile design from the years before there were computers. I discovered I loved working with my hands. I wanted my jewelry to be less craft and more fine art. I set off to learn all I could about the properties of metal and making silver jewelry.

I went to Colorado to work with a silver smith; I spent hours in TAP studio in Cleveland under the guidance of Todd Pownell and Debra Rosen. I went to Penland and studied under other amazing artists to build and develop my skills. I could not get enough knowledge, I was hooked, and I had found my passion.

Today I am a full time jewelry artist. My work includes more then just beach glass. I work with gems stores and other found objects. I continue to develop my skills and education. I feel blessed to have found something I am so excited to do everyday. I have been making jewelry from found objects for over 18 years. This is my full time job, I can be found in my studio, walking my dog Rufus or visiting with daughters in Alaska and Colorado.

My work can be found around the country in small boutiques.

I take pride in coming up with unique designs that are often copied. I change directions often
to keep things interesting.

I love to create custom work using your special found object or direction.

Frequently asked questions
Care instructions

Instructions
1. Polish your jewelry with a soft cloth. If your jewelry has become slightly tarnished, attempt to polish it with a cloth made of cotton. Using any other type of fabric as a polishing cloth may damage your jewelry. Any dirt that is remaining on your jewelry from previous attempts at cleaning can scratch your piece of jewelry. When polishing, rub your jewelry with straight, direct strokes. You may scratch your jewelry if you use circular motions.

Tips and Warnings

Tips & Warnings
• A scrap from a soft, cotton t-shirt makes an excellent polishing cloth.
• A worn out toothbrush is a perfect tool to use on your jewelry.
• By wearing your jewelry regularly, you can reduce the amount of tarnish your jewelry acquires. The oils in your skin naturally repel tarnish.
• Don’t store your sterling silver jewelry alongside jewelry of other metals. It can cause your silver jewelry to discolor and tarnish more quickly.
• Don’t wear silver jewelry in water that is chlorinated and do not wear the jewelry while using household chemicals. Also, remove your jewelry when bathing or showering.
