Announcement   Welcome to my stash! I buy WAY too many beads and things and need to make space for new additions in my bead boxes. cserpentStash is my shop for clearing out some of my stash. You'll find a variety of things in my shop - gemstones, crystals, odds and ends that may come into my possession - who knows!? Check back often as I find more things I need to send to a new home!

If you're interested in jewelry and other beaded things be sure to check out my jewelry shop, cserpentDesigns, at http://cserpent.etsy.com

About

My destash shop

This is where I share beads I can no longer use or that I bought too many of.

This is my shop where I destash some of my own beads. I often buy too many things or change directions and decide I just can't use something I bought in the past. I'll do my best to describe things accurately!

Payment
I accept paypal and money orders. I'm open to accepting payments from other online payment companies like Google checkout so contact me if you want to use a different method of payment.

I do not accept checks. If you pay using a money order be aware that I do not ship the item until I receive and have cashed the money order.
Shipping
International -
For items costing less then $25 I'll be using international first class mail in order to save costs. No insurance or delivery confirmation are available. For items over $25 the displayed shipping cost includes insurance.

Because the USPS rates have increased dramatically and it is difficult to estimate weight for multiple items I will refund some of your shipping money if the actual cost is significantly less than what you paid. If you would like an accurate shipping cost on the listing before you buy it just send me a convo about it and I'll calculate the correct shipping for the quantity you are buying.

Domestic -
I use USPS first class mail or priority with delivery confirmation. For items over $25 I always use insurance.
Refunds and Exchanges
If the item you receive is not what you expected please contact me about it. I want my customers to be happy with their purchases. If we mutually agree that the item should be returned then you'll need to return it in the original packaging and in the original condition when you received it. I insure items over $25 so if your item is broken in transit contact me immediately so I can arrange for the items return and for compensation from the shipping company.

More on Gold Filled versus Gold Plated:
---------------------------------------
I use gold filled beads/wire rather than gold plated because gold filled is created by a process of using heat and pressure to bond a layer of real gold over some base metal (usually copper). Gold plating is an electro-chemical process which places a thin molecule of gold (or something gold colored) over a base metal and then a second chemical is often used for finishing to add a brightness to the bead. I found early on that gold plating can wear off in weeks if it is really poorly done and heavily used. Since that initial disappointment I've used gold filled beads (when available) and have never seen a sign of wear on any of the pieces I've worn over the years. I even polished some gold-filled beads in some jewelry my Aunt made me 20 years ago and they are now just as gold and shiny as when she first bought them.
