It took a little while to receive the monster, but that's really because I procrastinated and ordered as she was shutting down the shop. Melanie was great about keeping me up to date on everything and threw in a keychain for the long wait, which was unexpected and completely appreciated! 10/10 would buy again

Once upon a time, in a dark forest lived a monster. And this monster was lost. One day this little yellow bird came upon the path of the monster and asked him if he was lonely. The monster replied that he was. It was that day that the monster and the little yellow bird became one. But that's not how Curious Little Bird came about, but the story's great, right?
Being of graphic design and illustration training, creating toys wasn't that far of a stretch for me. I've always been an artistic creator, creating all manner of things. I had monsters I had made in the past for a design project, and decided in 2011 to make more. My first craft fair proved to me that this was a good decision, and from then on, Curious Little Bird became a full time affair. Goodbye 9-5, hello home business!
For 8 years I've always wanted to work for myself, and now I had that opportunity! I was unemployed, so it was the ideal time to take a full time entrepreneurship program. They helped me to write my business plan, and taught me some valuable skills.
Making my monsters is continually helping me to develop and hone my design and illustration skills. Near Christmas, I sometimes feel like an overworked elf, but I love my job. :)

PayPal is my preferred method of payment. But don't worry, other methods can be made available by request - please contact me before ordering if you have another payment choice to ensure that it can be accommodated.
CASH: I do NOT accept cash as payment unless you are a local buyer. Sending cash in the mail - even when it is well concealed is a risk and I cannot take responsibility for this. Please ask about other options of paying if you do not want to use PayPal.
LOCAL BUYERS: You can pay by cash, email money transfers, money orders, and PayPal.
Your order unless stated otherwise will ship within 3-5 BUSINESS days of payment having been received. Unless the payment/order was received on a Friday night, Saturday or Sunday, then the order will commence on the following Monday, and therefore from that Monday it will ship 3-5 BUSINESS days, depending on whether I have many other orders. Please be patient, I work all alone. If you have any questions of when your items will be sent please feel free to contact me.
If you require your package to have a tracking number, please contact me BEFORE purchasing your monster. All packages sent to the United States or Internationally (outside of Canada) do NOT have a tracking number, and cannot be traced once it has left my home.

Customs fees & tariffs are the responsibility of the purchaser. Duties levied by Customs agents are according to the import laws of your respective country(s) and as such I cannot be held responsible for them.
Express shipping is available on a case by case basis. Please note that faster shipping to destinations outside of Canada starts at $24+ depending on the service requested. Please inquire about rush shipping for your purchase.

Your purchase is not finished till your items have been received and both parties are satisfied with the transaction. Feedback is not left till I am aware that the transaction is now closed. Also due to time restraints I leave feedback in batches once a month. If you have left feedback and I have not responded likewise in a timely manner please feel free to send me a gentle reminder. Sometimes I miss it!
