Announcement
Just a potter playing with mud and fire to bring imagination to life. Unique vases, wine stoppers, creatures, bowls, bottles & more, handmade in Vermont!
I've been enjoying pottery since 2000 when I sat down at a wheel with a lump of clay and rediscovered the joy of creation. Since then I've been learning to twist clay, fire, and glazes into my own unique expressions.
My jartifact series started with learning a technique for creating jars with very tight fitting lids, and changed into a quest to make objects that felt ancient and out of time and place. I don't actually want to part with any of them, but that's also my favorite sign that I've created something I can be proud of.
You'll also find my wine stoppers and Curly Creatures. Whimsical little things, each creature is thrown on a wheel, carefully pulled off to add a tail, then hand-modified to add fins, legs, scales... anything you or I can imagine! Stoppers are similar, but totally handbuilt. I try to give each piece its own personality, but all almost always get a smile from people who see them. "So cute!" "I love it - what *is* it?"
I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do.

5 out of 5 starsThe quality and craftsmanship of this piece is impeccable. It is exactly what I had hoped for when I commissioned this butter bell. The top holds the butter while the bottom contains a small amount of water. The water keeps the butter spreadable in all seasons while also keeping it fresh. Not only is this butter bell functional, it is a work of art. I proudly keep this on my table for everyone to see.

5 out of 5 starsThis fun little creature planter is so cool with its centipede like feet and dorsal fin. I love the contrast of the unglazed body with glazed fin and feet. It makes the coloring and texture of the creature very unique. If you are on the fence about buying one of Tim’s creations, buy it before someone else does. You will be very happy with the quality of work as well as owning a piece of art that holds plants that can not be duplicated. My creatures were very carefully packaged for shipping and my order arrived very FAST. Thanks Tim!

5 out of 5 starsI love my King Gustav creature! He is a whimsical little fella that changes his personality depending on the airplant he is holding. The quality and craftsmanship of this planter are exceptional. From the gold mouth rim to the polka dot curly tail, no detail was spared. Pictures don’t do it justice. He is worth every penny. Shipping was VERY fast and the planter was well protected when packaged. Thanks Tim!

5 out of 5 starsThese two tumblers are just beautiful! The artist, Tim did such a beautiful job on making them. His concern for the delivery of them was exceptional since there was a major delay in them arriving when expected. I would definitely purchase from him again!

5 out of 5 starsI bought this bowl for the beautiful colors and design and it was even better looking than on the site. I am using it for a trinket bowl. The bowl is well crafted and it is evident that the artisan truly loves his craft! He was also very communicative during the process. I highly recommend CurtinsCreations...thank you! Amanda H.
