So sorry you found shipping to be slow! I ship items per my stated policy, which is within 5 business days from purchase. In our modern, instantaneous Amazon Prime world, that may seem like a long time, but it is my policy. If customers would like an item to be shipped more quickly than that, I also state in my policies that you are able to request as much. Thanks for the feedback.

About

modern farmhouse decor: the found, revived & resilient

Sarah won’t sit idly by as vintage goods fade into obscurity. She created cushionchicago as a Midwestern hub of restoration and revival, where multiple eras enjoy a common thread of good design. From pillows that pop with retro patterns to industrial lamps and home accents, this is a collection for the ages.

Multiple eras enjoy the common thread of good design at this hub of restoration and revival. A student of historic preservation and architecture, Sarah turns a trained eye on the beautiful and unusual, from pillows that pop to industrial accents.

Shop policies

Welcome to cushionchicago, where you will find fabulous (mostly all) American antiques and vintage items of all varieties.

I describe all vintage items, through both photography and description, as accurately as possible and note any serious condition issues. These pieces are old, and generally have minor wear consistent with age and use. I try to be a tough critic when it comes to condition and point out any tiny flaw, things most people will not care one whit about. If you have any questions about a particular item, please make sure to contact me prior to purchase. I am always happy to get you more information or images so you can make a well-informed decision when buying from my shop.

If you would like to send an item as a gift to someone, contact me and we can work out a good solution for you. Gift wrapping can be tough for larger items, but I'm always happy to do so and to enclose a note with the gift.

Payment
I accept payment credit card payments through Etsy or PayPal (where you can also use your debit card or checking account).

Items will not be shipped until confirmation of the payment has been received.
Shipping
I ship to the address you have entered into your Etsy account. If you use PayPal for payment, your PayPal address needs to match what you have put into Etsy. If you need your item to go to another address, please let me know.

I ship via USPS once a week, so your item will be sent out within 5 business days of purchase. You determine shipping class when you check out, but generally heavy and oversized items ship via Parcel Post or FedEx Ground.

Aloha, Hawai'i! Most items will ship to you via Parcel Post (unless a flat rate box works), which will take at least two weeks for delivery, longer around the holidays. If you would like a quote for Priority Mail or FedEx, please ask before making your purchase. Ditto for Alaska.

If you have a specific date by which you need an item, or would like overnight shipment, please contact me and I will get you rate options using various providers.

When you make your purchase, you agree to pay the listed shipping charge based on Etsy's shipping calculations using your zip code. I also add a $2 handling fee for my time and materials.

International shipping methods vary depending on the destination country. International buyers will be responsible for all customs and duties, and I will always declare the actual value on the customs form. I may add a handling charge of up to $5 to international orders. Refunds for lost packages will be considered only after 8 weeks have passed.

I carefully pack your item to arrive safely. Please note that I try to re-use (clean) packing materials. Reduce, re-use, recycle! *IF* the worst happens and your purchase arrives damaged, please take photos of the box, packing materials and the sad, broken pieces. This will help expedite an insurance claim with the carrier. Contact me right away, and we will figure out the best course of action.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your purchase. If an item is substantially different than what I have described, I will gladly accept the return and refund your money less shipping. Returns should be initialized within 3 days of receipt (as per delivery confirmation). I generally do not offer credits or exchanges, but I will try to be flexible as much as possible. Buyer pays return shipping charges.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am painfully accurate with my descriptions, and if there is an error in measurements, it is not more than 1/4" off. However, if exact size is critical for an item to fit somewhere, please double check with me before purchase.
